Short-budget Spain/Panamá co-production about mysterious murders including musical numbers

A famous actor , Dino Costa , is found dead in a theater called Arlequin and Palmer is missing . While the killed actor is replaced by Anibal , and some people claim to have seen the ghost of the deceased, and along the way other crimes occur here and there . A detective is called to attempt to shed light on so much mystery. Things go wrong when other crimes occur. There are various suspicious people, who's the killer ?

Typical crime thriller with suspense , intrigue , red herrings and in which a detective is called in to try to solve the mystery . This is sequel to "Las aventuras de Taxi Key" (1959) that encompassed three short films "La mano cortada", "La casa del lago" y "Sombras de un sueño" directed by Arturo Buendía, Juan Fortuny, Albert Gasset Nicolau , dealing with 3 short stories starring the lawyer-detective Taxi Key , based on a popular radio show with the same title. After ¨Las aventuras de Taxi Key¨(1959) Juan Fortuny returns with same writer and actors -Ricardo Palmerola and Inés Alma- and as filmmaking assistants the previous short directors : Arturo Buendia , Albert Gasset Nicolau , to carry out an ordinary triller with no appearance of law enforcements or cops , but a simple investigator . This mediocre flick results to be a low budget co-production between Merqueriz (Juan Fortuny's production company) and Probo Films from Puerto Rico. Stars Ricardo Palmerola who gives a mediocre acting as a stubborn investigator . Palmerola was born in 1921 Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. He is known for Las aventuras de Taxi Key (1959), Palmer ha muerto (1962) , Tu marido nos engaña (1960) , El pobrecito Draculin , La ciutat cremada , among others . Palmerola resided in Cuba and Puerto Rico for many years and he was as a good friend of Pau Casals during the time he lived in exile in Puerto Rico and Juan Fortuny's friend with whom worked in some movies.

The motion picture was regularly directed by Spanish filmmaker Juan Fortuny . This Catalonia director was an artisan who wrote/produced/directed some so-so films. He directed and photographed various movies in all kinds of genres , some of them co-producing with other countries as France and Panama , such as : El pobrecito Draculín , Marchands de femmes , Huyendo de sí mismo, Palmer ha muerto , Las aventuras de Taxi Key , Delincuentes , La melodía misterios , El rey de la carretera , Huyendo de sí mismo , Unas páginas en negro , Legión de héroes and Las ratas no duermen de noche starred by Spanish legend Paul Naschy. Rating Palmer ha muerto (1962) : 4/10 . Below average.

A strange suspense film - Palmer has died

Esteban Palmer, a famous actor, witnesses a murder, and is in turn shot, and his body dumped on a highway in an attempt to make his death seem accidental.

An investigator encounters Palmer, who tells him "Estoy muerto" - I am dead - and then disappears.

The investigations reveal the original corpse, and another death, as well as several more appearances by Palmer, before the final denouement in the theatre where things began.

This Spanish language film is punctuated by several songs, and features some fairly over-the-top acting from some of the main characters.
