    • Trivia
In the novel upon which the movie is based, Nell's surname is 'Munro'. This was changed to Forbes after Marilyn Monroe was cast in the role.
    • Goofs
When Lyn and Jed get photographed in the bar by the camera lady, she snaps only one picture of them. When she brings the novelty items (handkerchief, matchbook, ashtray, and postcard) to their booth minutes later, the handkerchief shows a different pose than the others - Lyn's arm is extended, and there is no shadow across Jed's face. Additionally, neither of the poses on the items reflects the actual pose of the couple when the picture was taken.

    Marilyn Monroe in 1952
1952 was just before Marilyn became Marilyn and 10 short years before her death. Look at her character here and look at her performance. She plays a psychopath. brilliantly. Look into her eyes and tell me if she's not totally there. Dangerous and tender. Thorough and insane. I know I had seen this film before but the truth is I didn't remember. Another plus is an early glimpse at the wonderful Anne Bancroft, billed above Marilyn here. For film buffs this movie is a total must.
