In Borrowed Plumes (1926) -- Lost Silent Film
PamelaShort21 June 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This 1926 light-hearted comedy/romance distributed by Arrow Pictures Corporation, starred the popular actress Marjorie Daw. Sadly it now remains a lost silent film and this brief synopsis is all I can offer the reader.

Penniless society girl Mildred Grantley ( Marjorie Daw ), who wants to be an actress, passes herself off as the Countess D'Autreval ( Marjorie Daw ). Through a mutual friend, Mildred gets to know the wealthy Dean family, falling in love with Philip Dean ( Niles Welch ), a handsome young bachelor. A woman claiming to be the real countess shows up and persuades Mildred to introduce her to the Deans. Mrs. Dean smells a rat, however, and hires a detective who exposes the woman as a famous international crook. The honest-to-goodness countess finally shows up, and Mildred and Philip finally find happiness together in true love.
