Als Otto Harms tatsächlich wieder in der Nähe der Goldschmiede gesehen wird, gibt es kurz darauf einen perfiden Mordanschlag auf Moritz und seinen Sohn, den Judith in letzter Minute verhindern kann. Anschließend fehlt von Otto Harms jede Spur und nicht einmal sein neuer Lebensgefährte weiß, wo er sein könnte. Durch weitere Nachforschungen finden Judith und Freddy Hinweise, dass Harms' Vorwürfe gegen die von Moritz entwickelte App, die kurz vor der Markteinführung steht, berechtigt gewesen sein könnten. Nicht alles läuft in Moritz' Firma so rund, wie es scheint. Schon bald werden die Zweifel am mutmaßlichen Tathergang immer größer und bringen Judith und Freddy auf eine ganz andere Spur.
