The engine carries its own tracks in the form of an endless chain attached to the wheels which enables it to travel over any kind of ground whether hilly, sandy or marshy, with the utmost ease. The tree stumps, etc., to be removed are attached to the engine by a long steel wire cable and when the engine is started we see them literally dragged out by the roots. We also see the machine used for plowing, drawing from twelve to eighteen plows at one time and turning immense furrows which would require the use of forty to fifty horses and fifteen to twenty men to accomplish the same work. A close view shows the machine in the details of its construction and how it is loaded for transportation by its own power, crossing an open space of three feet between railroad platform and flatcar.
