- Carrie presents her first free-lance article to the Vogue editors, who react completely differently: Enid barks it's simply 'her column', so 'not Vogue', but Julian takes to her - perhaps even too much. Richard says he doesn't want to celebrate his birthday.
- Carrie has no luck at a baby shower: Stanford snatched the last good gift from the list, and host Kyra makes everybody take off their shoes. Carrie's Manolos disappear and Miranda insists she should be compensated. Kyra offers to pay for them until she finds out they cost $485.

- Carrie is invited to stay with a married friend and her husband, Peter, at their beach house. Her trip is unexpectedly cut short when she walks in on Peter who is naked in the kitchen. Back in Manhattan, she contemplates whether there is a secret war going on between the singles and the married.
- Since Steve's testicular amputation, balls are a sensitive subject; he even wants a prosthesis, however supportive Miranda insists they don't matter to women. Now his movie star- girlfriend has dumped him, Carrie must receive heart-broken Mr. Big at pissed-off Aidan's cabin.
- Carrie finds out the guy she is dating is bisexual, and because of him, she explores the bisexual community for the first time.
- Carrie agrees to a reunion to see how her high-school crush -whom she dumped- is, and finds Jeremy got even more attractive. Back in hot Manhattan Samantha can't get through the waiting list for Soho House club which has a pool with service, but picks up someone's forgotten pass.
- Carrie feels extremely welcome with Aleksandr when he spontaneously gives her keys and even the alarm code, which she can't remember. When the girls hear Miranda and Steve are going on a a honeymoon - according to Sam, 'sex with room service' - they offer to babysit Brady.
- In order to get over her divorce, Charlotte takes up tap-dancing, but it doesn't solve her emotional state. Moreover, Richard has enough confidence to admit doing it with Bebe and invite Samantha to join him in the luxury shower in one breath.
- Carrie and Samantha deal with noisy neighbours, and Miranda fears that the takeout lady laughs at her for ordering for one.
- To her horror, Miranda is pregnant after one single night with Steve. After she told the girls including her intention to abort, Charlotte walks out envious and disgusted; Carrie tells Aidan after making him swear not to tell, so he must sit by how his buddy Steve may lose his baby without even knowing.
- When Carrie is shown the all too naked cover her publishers planned for her columns book, she's shocked, it just screams hooker, so she turns to Samantha who accepts to do her PR for peanuts. Charlotte swallows her pride to seek hope in another advice book.
- Miranda feels a double failure as neither motherhood nor professional life can get her full attention, and her neighbors give her dirty looks about her screaming baby. Samantha feels her own problems, such as a broken vibrator, are no less important.
- Miranda is dating Doug, a respected professional, but just can't get comfortable with his loose sense of toilet intimacy. On a 'non-date' with Mr. Big Carrie meets and gets attracted to Jazz musician Ray King, who turns out to own two clubs and is interested in her too.
- When Miranda tries multi-dating, she quickly finds nobody wants a lawyer, while her same physique appeals as a "stewardess". Things get interesting for her when she decides to date a doctor - At Charlotte's rehearsal dinner, Samantha hooks up with Trey's cousin Caleb, even if she can't understand his Edinburgh accent.
- Miranda and Steve are finally feeling comfortable together, until she watches the laundry. Samantha has hot nights with a doctor, and decides to follow his example taking Viagra purely for recreational purposes. Charlotte is inspired by a book to start looking for a fiancé more methodically.
- Miranda and Steve have fallen out of love over parenthood, they painstakingly live apart in the same flat... At Aidan Shaws's design fair, Carrie bumps into Mr. and Mrs. Big. Later, a drunken Big blurts out to Carrie that he not only wants a divorce but also wants her back.
- Charlotte is getting sexually desperate after a 'dry' honeymoon in the Bermudas, so she literally measures Trey's nocturnal erection. Meanwhile Carrie, whose column got the interest of a small Hollywood production company, travels to Los Angeles with Samantha and Miranda, in order to escape from their New York sorrows.
