Yuriy Aleksandrovich Butyrin is Soviet and Russian animation director, production designer, animator. Worked in hand-drawn animation. Yuriy Butyrin was born in Moscow. He graduated from the sculpture department of the Moscow Art and Industrial College named after Mikhail Kalinin in 1949, after which he worked on the restoration and decoration of buildings damaged during the Great Patriotic War in Moscow and Leningrad.
