Anyway overall a Texas oil drilling theme,unscrupulous corporates trying to rob the poor dirt farmers of their land for oil leases,they are the villains of course. Along comes a failed young would be actor who has a big hilarious mishap on his first gig,road trip afterwards and ends up in the small town local coffee bar seeking help,penniless and desperate. He is offered a job with a going downhill Texas drilling company owner who's about to go bankrupt, The interplay between old school and apprentice is a delight,where they try to beat the corporate takeovers. Of course Carrie Ann Moss is the comforting supportive angel who manages the coffee bar. The driller's long suffering crew are then introduced,and facing redundancy if their boss doesn't come up with a successful oil strike. There is a race towards the end, and the villains get their just desserts. A must watch.
