A Dream Of Christmas (2016) -

As with Paul Newman's effortless handsome appeal, Andrew W. Walker was so God damned beautiful in this film. He played Stuart, the leading lady's husband and a relationship that she was questioning, because he was never home. To me he has always been divine and made my heart melt whenever I've watched him so despite the daft red beanie that made him look a little bit dopey, I would never wish to not be married to him as Penny (Nikki Deloach) did in this film.

With the wish granted by a mysterious Lady/Angel, Penny's past was changed and her present unsure, her journey to finding true happiness was not an easy one and an obvious surprise, as she was initially unaware that the wish had come true at all.

In her new existence she met Andrew, the major new important client, who was played by the also handsome Christopher Russell. I could see why she might question whether the new path was the right one with Andrew giving her the googly eyes, but would he be all that he seemed?

Ultimately I would have gone back to Stuart anyway, because he had that extra factor, but to see what and who she opted for you'll have to watch it.

I really enjoyed this one, because there was nothing to really gripe about. It had enough Christmas without being over the top. A lovely message of careful what you wish for, love the one you're with, be happy with what you've been given, etc and a warm feel to it in general.

Most of the made for TV Christmas films from 2023 could learn a lot from this one, because they were really quite dire this year!

7.23/10.
