Very Realistic
24 July 2023
I was suspicious of the "hate crime" element here. The whole thing was indeed an accident, but then it became something much worse. Since the cops were let go, the real perpetrators aren't on trial. Of course, Nadine is a whole other issue. The court scenes are excellently portrayed. K. J. Is doing what she can but she has little ammunition when it comes to the law. The defense attorney is also very sharp and is drawing up a really good case, even though her clients are guilty. One thing I haven't mentioned in my previous reviews is the great cinematography of this series. The camera angles, the suffocating images are very good. There is frequent symbolism being used here. If I were a young man, I may watch this a second time, but that's not likely. There are so many characters now who are sitting on a razor's edge. The conclusion should be very intense.
