Alyssa Milano takes over the Poison Ivy mantle from Drew Barrymore in the second instalment in the series, four years on from the first. Milano plays Lily, a girl from Michigan who moves out to Los Angeles to go to college, and somehow manages to find a diary and some pictures of Ivy in a drawer and becomes somewhat obsessed with Ivy's personality. At the same time, she develops an attraction for Gredin, a housemate and fellow student in the art class that Lily is taking at college. There, her professor, Donald (played creepily by Xander Berkeley) develops a crush on her, leading to a pretty awkward love triangle. The more confident Lily gets, the more involved she gets with both men. And, it must be said, spends a lot of time naked or at least topless.
The finale is bleak and dark, like the first film. Not as good as the first, but okay. Great if you have a thing for Alyssa Milano.
