Of the NBC Mystery Wheel show, McMillan and Wife was, I'll have to say, my least favorite, especially after the first season. Early in the show there were far more clever dialogue exchanges between "Mac and Sally". As the season went on, that feature of the show gradually disappeared.
Also, as the series went on, the mysteries got to be pretty hit and miss. Right now I'm watching "Game of Survival" from Season Four, and there's really just nothing interesting there. The previous episode, about a car rally, was a lot of fun. You just didn't know from one episode to the next whether to expect a great show or a dud. Very few duds on Columbo or McCloud.
