Review of Deborah

Deborah (2022)
7/10
If life had a rewind button, would you abuse it?
5 November 2022
Nora (Sophia Bush), Frank (Arjun Gupta), Gabby (Ciara Renee), Chet (Scott Michael Foster), and Jim (Michael Waller) are all invited to a dinner party, hosted by their longtime friends, Ada (Deborah Ann Woll) and Al (Kevin Bigley). As things become more open, Ada and Al unveil their newest creation, 'Deborah' - an Alexa-style home assistant that can turn back time by up to 48 hours. The side effects? Residual emotional memories and glitches.

Decently written script and acting! The premise is really well done, the flow is solid, and the music score is on point. The interpersonal relationships don't feel too artificial, but there are some points that make the narrative sound a lot like 'The Hunt' (2020), with over-the-top political commentary.

Worth a watch!
