Magellan and Elcano completed what is probably the greatest feat of exploration in history and this is a good attempt to honour it, but it deserved a bigger budget and more time to define the characters. Though Magellan is as historians describe him Elcano may have been over romanticised (Great Alvaro Morte though). More money should have gone into this.
There were at least three mutinies and crossing the Strait of Magellan for the first time would have deserved at least two episodes. The fight with LapuLapu had a religious component. Magellan was a very pious man (extremist maybe) and that was the root of many troubles during the journey. More time should have been spent on this.
Overall good and beautiful but it should have been better.
