Sometimes a movie is trying to be a lot smarter than it actually is. And then sillier (funnier) than it actually is. Now the actors here do try their best (one you may know from Modern Family, others from other stuff), but it never is really enough to push this past a certain mark.
I wish I was able to enjoy this more and I'm happy for anyone who could love this and had fun with it. Not joking and not meant condescending in any way. Anyone who can and has fun with something that is a win for that individual. I just want to point out that the likelihood of this movie being able to achieve this for you, is small to say the least.
