Season 1: 8 stars (2 viewings, 8/18/2020, 8/8/2021)
This show made me max-volume-laugh numerous times, so many parts are absolutely hysterical. Pushes limits like I love. And even ignoring the comedy, it's surprisingly good with some great acting and really moving moments. My only downside with the show is some unnecessary relationship drama in a couple of the episodes, including one side-story episode. It's odd because I feel like I said the exact same thing about Atlanta, including the side-story episode. Possibly the same creators?
Season 2: 6 stars (1 viewing, 8/11/2021)
I ended the season 1 review comparing it to how I felt about Atlanta. This show seems to be taking the same route in season 2. SIGNIFICANTLY less funny. And WAY more drama. Some people may like that. But I came here for the comedy with some heart and emotion. Instead I'm getting drama and emotion with an occasional laugh.
And it also does the thing I don't like where major story elements are not continued into the next episode. They're not inconsequential, but they just move onto something new to start the next episode.
Season 3: 7 stars (1 viewing, 7/8/2023)
A nice bounce-back from season 2. And I legitimately can't believe some of the celebrities featured in this season. "We made it" is an understatement for Lil Dicky.
