I've watched the 3h long Redux version. First two hours were awesome, the action scenes were strong and the setting looked authentic. Many scenes made me think, analyze if the actions of some characters' were right or wrong. It looked and felt like a real war, a chaos.
The 3rd act was a huge disappointment though. The before suspenseful film now became very slow, the characters reached the end of their journey which I was so much hyped for. Sadly all it was just some "philosophical" mumblings from Marlon Brando which seemed very lame to me, I did not took any of his words as something meaningful. He was then killed - the end... To me the ending is a complete flop.
