There's a delicious irony in viewing a film about an employee resisting enforced retirement merely because he has reached the age of 65 in an age where the retirement age has been raised and is still rising. To watch it for the first time in 2020 is a joy if only for the cast, led superbly by Monty Woolly and replete with names like Allen Joslyn, David Wayne, Albert Dekker, and Thelma Ritter. Lamar Trotti weighed in with a well-balanced screenplay and all hands contribute to an entertaining bauble.
