The trailer wasn't that good, I admit, and the ratings on IMDb for the pilot are, as of now, poor, but the show is really funny. I'm a huge Sunny fan and I was sceptical about this show at first. I gave it a try and I did not regret it.
As a pilot, it's amazing. It gets you laughing immediately - compare that with Sunny, which takes a few episodes (or seasons, even) to get going.
If you're expecting more IASIP, this may not be the show for you, but if you want a real comedy, this is it right here. No laugh tracks, no drama, just comedy.
