After seeing the 2010 movie of Tomorrow When the War Began, I was pretty disappointed with the way the movie represented the books and I expected a similar experience with the TV Show, but I was wrong. This series may have made some changes to the original story, but so far these changes have only been improvements.
The acting is spectacular and I really enjoyed watching every minute. It not only took me back to my childhood of reading John Marsden's books but I was also able to appreciate the show as a whole new story, more modern and great cinematography. The changes made from the books only improve the story and help it to make more sense, especially for a younger generation of viewers.
I am so impressed that this is an Australian made show, I would happily recommend it to anyone, whether they have read the books or not.
