Decent followup to the first movie.

So they're stretching this series out a bit. I think they're now 30 playing 18/19 year olds. Not that it shows. Anyway, I'm a fan of the show and quite miss it now. British shows are too short. I really liked the film, even though it delegates itself to clichés that TV to film adaptations usually do. It's just throwaway entertainment at this point. In that regard, The Inbetweeners 2 satisfies. All its humour is quite cheap rude humour, but it's usually quite funny. It only doesn't work when it reaches too much for believability or is too mean-spirited. It does feel like quite an inconsequential setting and situation to spark off a movie but it doesn't matter too much. The characters have definitely 'flanderised' by now, meaning that their qualities have blown out of proportion and they've lost all their dimensions, especially Neil, who's a total waste of space here. It's an alright way to spend an hour and a half for any fans hungry for more. Can't take it too seriously.
