Moving, Well-acted Commentary on Life Meaning
18 May 2004
I feared that "My Life Without Me" would immerse me in the technical details of dying. Instead I confronted choices that remain, even in the face of death. More than a tear-jerker, this is a moving object lesson on one woman's journey into her darkest night.

With children, a loving husband, and with a peaceful marriage, albeit economically challenged, she chooses to keep her fate from them, seeking to share with them what is left of her life rather than share with them the anticipation of dying. She expresses her frustration and anger briefly but poignantly to a co-worker, ...someone "safe" to talk with, and then a found lover--one of the things she must do before she dies, ...sleep with one another man. ...I loved this movie, because it is real and honest and offered me something that will stay with me for a very long time, ...a "very good" interpretation of how to move through life.
