Tyra Banks and her newly named co-host, Alfonso Ribeiro, have entered the world of Disney in the latest promo for “Dancing With the Stars”.
In the teaser, shared to Instagram Monday, Banks and Ribeiro, who are co-hosting season 31 of the long-running series marvel at the show’s new landscape now that the dance competition series has made the move to streaming, going from ABC to Disney+.
“Uh, Tyra, I don’t think we’re in L.A. anymore,” a bewildered Ribeiro tells Banks — both of whom are dressed in their “DWTS” finest. “No, this is a completely different ballroom,” the supermodel-turned-tv-host responds.
With a little Disney magic sprinkled in by none other than Tinkerbell herself, the promo then pans to a montage of the show’s professional dancers, all ready to hit the ballroom floor and compete for the coveted mirrorball trophy.

Melanie C danced to a Spice Girls track on the “Dancing with the Stars” Season 30 premiere and now Jimmie Allen is like, “Hold my beer.” The country star is set to hit the parquet to one of his songs on Week 2.
Allen and Emma Slater will perform the rumba to the former’s “Billboard” Country Airplay topper “Make Me Want To” on Monday. The duo scored a 22 for their first dance, the tango, which was the third lowest score of the night, but the rumba could be a hit or a miss for any couple because of the hip action that may be too early in the game for some to nail. The rumba is one of six dances this week, the others being Viennese waltz, foxtrot, samba, tango and cha-cha. Speaking of hip action, Matt James and Lindsay Arnold are the only ones doing samba.

Dancing With the Stars is back.
It seems like forever since the show was on the air, but Dancing With the Stars Season 30 Episode 1 kicked off with a new wave of contestants, and we have a lot to say about each of their performances.
Scroll down for our snappy judgments on the performances to round up the winners and losers of premiere week.
Mel C and pro Gleb Savchenko (Cha-Cha) - Winners
This pairing is decent, and given that they had lofty expectations due to being the first performance of the season, they held up well.
Using a Spice Girls track was somewhat cheesy, but hey, it probably resonated with the target audience of the series.
Mel C had great attention to detail, and her dancing ability came out to play. I suspect the only way is up for this couple in the coming weeks.
Judges' Score: 27/40
