Despite becoming a box-office flop upon its release, Brad Pitt’s Fight Club has stood the test of time, becoming one of the most influential releases from David Fincher. However, its impact isn’t just limited to the viewers, as director Steven Caple Jr. too took inspiration from the action thriller for the 2023 Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.
For his reimagination of the popular IP, the director filmmaker incorporated Pete Davidson into the feature, whose character took major inspiration from Pitt’s Tyler Durden.

Pete Davidson, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Shane Gillis, Snoop Dogg and more make a special appearance in Eminem’s star-studded music video for “Houdini,” the first single from his upcoming 12th album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce).
In the final moments of the nearly five-minute video, Davidson appears alongside the yellow sports car Eminem is in and gets in the driver’s seat. “Trust me, I’m a great driver,” the former Saturday Night Live castmember tells the rapper. “Don’t worry. I just got my license back,” he adds, seemingly referencing his reckless driving charge for driving a Mercedes into a home in Beverly Hills last year.

There’s only one major Marvel movie coming out this year, and Scarlett Johansson’s husband was decidedly not pleased about that on this week’s episode of “Saturday Night Live.” So, he made sure to give the studio a stern warning during Weekend Update.
Yes, obviously we’re talking about co-anchor Colin Jost. He and Johansson — who starred as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in the MCU — have been married since 2020 and share a son together. But, providing for the family wasn’t the issue Jost had in mind. He was thinking of another bill entirely.
During the week’s headlines, Jost pointed out that 2024 marked the first year since 2009 that a Marvel movie didn’t kick off the Summer movie season..
“Which better be a one-time thing because a lot of people rely on Marvel movies to pay for the ferries they bought,” Jost quipped.

Update: Judge Juan Merchan told the prosecutors in Donald Trump’s hush money trial to pass along a message to one of their likely witnesses, lawyer Michael Cohen: Please stop talking or posting on social media about the case.
Moments before the day in court ended early around lunchtime, Judge Merchan took up a request from defense lawyer Todd Blanche, who said, “Mr. Cohen continues to speak publicly about this trial.”
Blanche cited a TikTok post this week by Cohen wearing a white t-shirt with a picture of Trump behind bars. He asked that Cohen — the lawyer whose $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels in 2016 triggered the Manhattan District Attorney’s investigation — be ordered to not talk about Trump or the criminal proceedings against him.
Assistant District Attorney Joshua Steinglass replied, “We have repeatedly asked the witnesses not to do that. And not just Mr. Cohen. All the witnesses.”

Donald Trump has dismissed recent media reports that say he fell asleep in his ongoing trial about the hush money payments in New York. Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, in a recess in the Manhattan Supreme Court trial to address the claims.
“Contrary to the Fake News Media, I don’t fall asleep during the Crooked D.A.’s Witch Hunt, especially not today,” he wrote.
He continued, “I simply close my beautiful blue eyes, sometimes, listen intensely, and take it All in!!!”
After the post, online critics rushed to social media to mock his praise of his eye color.
Earlier, Trump’s campaign had vehemently criticized multiple reporters, such as Maggie Haberman from The New York Times, who observed Trump seemingly doze off on the first day of jury selection. Throughout the trial, which entered its tenth day on Thursday, there have been several instances...

Prosecutors Play Recording Of Donald Trump And Michael Cohen Discussing Hush Money Payments — Update
Update: Jurors today heard a recording in which Donald Trump and his then-lawyer and “fixer,” Michael Cohen, discuss payments to Karen McDougal, the former Playboy model who claimed to have had an affair with The Apprentice host.
The recording was made by Cohen in September of 2016 — and first reported on by CNN in 2018. In it, Trump and Cohen discussed buying the rights to McDougal’s story.
“I need to open up a company for the transfer of all of that info regarding our friend David,” Cohen said, referring to David Pecker, then-ceo of American Media, the tabloid publisher that bought McDougal’s story for $150,000 with the intention of burying it.
When Cohen turned to the subject of “financing,” Trump asked, “What financing?”
“We’ll have to pay,” Cohen said. It wasn’t clear from the garbled audio at that point whether Trump agreed. Pecker, a prosecution witness last week, said...

Update: The lawyer for Karen McDougal and Stormy Daniels further outlined the hush money deals made to his clients, including his suspicion that Donald Trump was “the one” who ultimately funded the Daniels payoff.
Lawyer Keith Davidson said on Tuesday that he did not enjoy having to deal with Trump’s lawyer, Michael Cohen.
The tension went back to a hostile phone call in 2011 after a gossip site called TheDirty blogged about rumors of a sexual liaison between adult film star Daniels and Trump. “Before I could barely get my name out, I was met with a hostile barrage of insults and allegations,” Davidson testified in Trump’s hush-money trial in Manhattan.
Cohen was “just screaming,” Davidson said, and he accused Davidson’s clients, Daniels and her manager, Gina Rodriguez, of leaking the claim to TheDirty. “Finally, after he finished,” Davidson recalled, he assured Cohen that Daniels didn’t want the story publicized.

Nicolas Cage has showcased through his extreme performances that he can embody just about any character, be it a hero or a villain, as efficiently and intensely as possible. That said, it’s worth noticing that while his remarkable acting skills have also granted him the golden ticket into two of the biggest franchises in Hollywood, he has only been cast in heroic and anti-heroic roles.
Nicolas Cage in Dream Scenario.
While he has absolutely nailed it as all of those characters, the truth is that Cage actually wants to play one forgotten nemesis of Batman who has only ever been played by the late Vincent Price in the late 1960s: Egghead. What’s more, he wants to play the character in Matt Reeves’ franchise of the Dark Knight, and has let his feelings known to Warner Bros. about the same as well!

Embarking on one of her most formidable acting endeavors, Eileen Davidson, acclaimed for her portrayal of Ashley Abbott since 1982, dives deep into the complexities of Dissociative Identity Disorder (Did) on The Young and the Restless. Two-time Daytime Emmy winner Eileen Davidson, no stranger to dramatic tales since her soap debut as Ashley Abbott on The Young and the Restless in 1982, is tackling one of her biggest acting challenges yet: playing Ashley’s Dissociative Identity Disorder. The story began to take shape last year after Ashley and Tucker’s (Trevor St. John) marriage imploded in Paris. “Josh and I had been talking, and I happened to mention Ashley’s mental health issues [from the ’80s],” Davidson recalls. “He remembered and got really inspired by that. So, it was an offhand conversation about the character that tied in beautifully with what he’d already been writing.” Once Davidson became aware of the definitive plans for Ashley, she began researching Did. “When Ashley first had mental health issues in the ’80s, I went to Camarillo State Hospital,” she relays. “Now there’s Google. Colin Jost-Pete Davidson Staten Island Ferry Bar-Hotel-Restaurant Project Still Afloat, Says Partner
The Staten Island Ferry floating nightclub project of Colin Jost and Pete Davidson – the subject of at least one “guy who bought a boat” joke on Jost’s Weekend Update – might be a bit closer to setting sail, heavy emphasis on “might.”
In an interview with Curbed, Ron Castellano, the architect and partner of Davidson and Jost’s decommissioned ferry project, told Curbed this week that plans are still underway for what could be a $34 million renovation project that would turn the rusty ferry into a luxury oasis of bars, restaurants a maybe a hotel.
Jost and Davidson – famously Staten Islanders – rescue-purchased the soon-to-be junked vessel two years ago for just under $300,000, announcing plans for a floating entertainment vessel.
Since then, various media reports have suggested that the project was going no place fast, reports Castellano dismisses in the new interview.

For Adrianne Lenker, love is meant to be a familial undertaking: she’s less interested in its early volatility, the thrills and frills, fantastical projections. She stated it clearly on “Anything,” a track from her 2020 album Songs, when she sang, “I don’t wanna be the owner of your fantasy/I just wanna be a part of your family.” For nearly everyone, our first experience of intimacy and love comes from our family units –“We look at the world once, in childhood. Pete Davidson and Colin Jost’s decommissioned ferry boat may be docked silently in Staten Island right now, but the vessel is headed for a $34 million renovation that features multiple bars, restaurants and a hotel.
Ron Castellano, an architect and lesser known partner on Davidson and Jost’s ferry project, told Curbed this week that he’s still finalizing plans to remodel the inside of the group’s 1965 boat.
“I think right now, we have six bars and two venues operated separately or combined,” he said. “We have outdoor event space, we have restaurants — two restaurants. It’s a big boat, almost 300 feet long, 65,000 square feet.”
Castellano’s firm, Studio Castellano, lists the “JFK Ferry” as a project with a budget of $34 million. To Curbed, Castellano detailed plans for a furnished patio top deck, 24 hotel rooms with sundecks and two clubs spaced across the lower levels. He said the team...

Some concrete plans are actually starting to emerge for the decommissioned Staten Island ferry that Pete Davidson and Colin Jost bought back in 2022.

It’s been docked in Staten Island — where both Jost and Davidson grew up — and locals have reportedly said they haven’t seen anyone working on it.

I am so grateful to Lorne Michaels and Broadway Video, Peacock, Universal Television and the amazing cast and writers for helping me create something honest, funny and heartfelt. I do also feel that this part of my life is finished. I’m very excited for this next chapter and for you guys to see the work.

Pete Davidson is moving on. The comedian has decided not to proceed with a second season of his semi-autobiographical series Bupkis for Peacock.
The streamer renewed the series in June 2023, a month after its premiere. But Davidson said that he changed his mind because he feels “this part of my life is finished”.
It is the latest series to be renewed and then not move forward, although most decisions are reversed by the network or streamer.
Now it seems that fans [Spoiler Alert] will not find out how Davidson fared after his car crash at the end of season one.
The series also stars Edie Falco and Joe Pesci and comes from Universal Television and Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video.
The first season had a large entourage of guest stars including Machine Gun Kelly, Steve Buscemi, Bobby Cannavale, Charlie Day, Al Gore, Paul Walter Hauser, Chase Sui Wonders and Ray Romano.
