Hailing from Mexico City, Mexico, Maria Vertiz is a composer, producer, and songwriter who creates music filled with eclectic sounds, atmospheric ideas, and structural concepts from different eras. She believes in creating parallel universes through music, using a combination of world music and ethereal sounds.
Maria started working in the industry when she was 13 years old and wrote songs for feature films such as The Greatest Miracle and Milagro en Praga. She studied composition with notable teacher Tomas Barreiro and graduated the top of her class from Berklee College of Music, followed by a stint working with award-winning composer, James Newton Howard.
