Chriss Stevenson is an expert Carpenter, Luthier, Photographer, Cinematographer, and Musician. Succinct in techniques and deft in capability, Chris's work has an array of spunk and sleek appeal. He knows his strengths and consistently delivers a quality product due to his unique style and taste, his genuine communication and his Simple yet efficient approach to creativity.
From Wellington, New Zealand, Chriss at 16 left school for an apprenticeship in residential and commercial Carpentry and after that worked alongside New Zealand's premier guitar luthier, Malcolm Packer, where he honed his fine-finishing skills for three years. In 2009 Chriss interned in New York City, where he offered his talents to the Luxury Fashion Industry. From SoHo windows displays, hi-end brand campaigns, bi-annual New York Fashion Weeks, along with set design and show co-ordination, Chriss has Helped some of the worlds' top brands and designers including: Maison Martin Margiela , Louis Vuitton, Nicola Formichetti , The Row , Donald Trump , Moet , Rachel Zoe and Calvin Klein. Upon his return to New Zealand , Chriss worked on The Hobbit Trilogy and then joined the world-renowned team at Weta Workshop building props and sets for some of Hollywoods biggest movies. CHriss now works for Sir Peter Jackson under the Wingnut Films outfit.
