Dan started playing the trumpet at the age of 5 and went on to study
music at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. He has worked with all
the major orchestras in the UK and is a member of the London
Philharmonic Orchestra and London Brass.
Dan has been playing on films for over 10 years including Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Shrek movies, Hugo and The Hobbit. He has also played with artists including Muse, Elbow, Peter Gabriel, Bryan May and Sir Paul McCartney.
The first of Dan's books promoting music for children "Billy's Band - The Bandstand" has recently been published. The series comes with accompanying CD featuring musical activities that will inspire children to pick up an instrument and have a go.
