Actress/Writer/Producer heads to therapy with “Signing Out” In the new short film, Signing Out, Adriana Leonard plays a young woman trying to get over a failed relationship only to discover that she and her ex-girlfriend are seeing the same therapist. Co-written by Leonard and Jenna Michno (who plays her ex), the film was directed by Dana Brawer, featuring an all-female cast and nearly-all-female crew: Leonard also co-executive produced Signing Out alongside Jett McCandless. Sadly, Blockbuster announced yesterday all their Us stores will officially be closing. Although the stores themselves have become obsolete, like the VHS tapes that helped bring the company to fame, we'll always have a soft place in our hearts for the Blockbuster experience. So, thank you, Blockbuster, the reason we got through high school and actually wanted to hang out with our parents. Here's what we'll miss most:
1) Pummeling people to get to the New Releases
2) Weaving through the endless VHS aisles
3) Finding weird check-out line candy
4) But still forcing your mom to buy it
5) Fighting with your sibling over who gets first movie pick
6) Deciding whether to pay extra for DVD instead of VHS
7) Drafting the perfect movie list
8) and then praying the films are actually in the store
9) Finding out the film you thought was checked out is actually available
10) Going on a date and...

Some highly anticipated Oscar contenders will not be making the cut this year, and last night, another joined that list. The release of George Clooney's World War II drama, "The Monuments Men," has been pushed from its original December release to a February 2014 opening, according to the La Times, making it ineligible for a nomination.
Clooney's picture does not stand alone in a widespread trend of delayed Oscar prospects. Leonardo DiCaprio's "Wolf of Wall Street" has been delayed, though it will barely make the 2013 deadline with a new late December release. Nicole Kidman's "Grace of Monaco," originally anticipated as a huge competitor due to Kidman's past success at the Oscars, will now be released in 2014, however.
Historical drama, 'The Immigrant" and sports drama "The Foxcatcher" have also been pushed into 2014 releases.
There is a growing reliance on expensive visual effects to tell stories, and if not done perfectly,...
