Caellum Allan was born in Adelaide, South Australia. Growing up, he always had an avid interest in filmmaking, and received his first video-camera at the age of 10. Throughout his childhood, he made several short films and was enrolled in a local film program with Carclew Youth Arts. It was there where he cemented his passion for film and was able to excel.

After finishing High School, Caellum moved interstate to Sydney where he was accepted into a prestigious film course at International Film School Sydney. Whilst studying for his Advanced Diploma of Screen & Media, Caellum also attended various night courses at the Australian Film, Television & Radio School where he received various other certificates.

Whilst at International Film School Sydney, Caellum completed the short film 'Butterfly' which was accepted into the 2011 Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival.

Upon completion of his education, Caellum was accepted into an internship with Scott and Garry Marshall in Los Angeles to work on the film 'New Years Eve', a sequel to 2010's hit 'Valentine's Day'. Caellum was sent to the set in New York City, where he worked on location, learning from both Garry and Scott. Upon his return to Los Angeles, he continued to work with Scott Marshall on various other projects, including a pilot for a children's television show and a film Scott had in development called 'The Alphabet Kid'.

In April 2011, Caellum was successful in gaining employment with the largest independent film studio in the world, Summit Entertainment. Caellum was hired to work in the physical production department, under supervision of the EVP, Andi Isaacs. While at Summit Entertainment, Caellum worked on the $250M budgeted 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn", the $40M budgeted "Step Up 4", the $40M budgeted "Warm Bodies" and the $12M budgeted "Perks of Being a Wallflower" starring Emma Watson in her first post-Harry Potter role.

In October 2011, Caellum was poached by a start-up production company Brozmedia, run by Pierce Brosnan and his son Sean, to work for them in a producing/development capacity. Brozmedia made him a substantial financial offer to come in and help develop and produce a slate of upcoming films.
