Born and raised in Aachen, Germany, Chris developed an early interest in arts to share and advance visual effects and computer-generated imagery in film. Immediately following his B.A. graduation in Germany, he went on to sharpen his skills in Visual Effects, Motion Graphics and Film Production at different colleges and VFX post houses in Southern California and New York. Since 2009, Chris has created award-winning work for big budget feature films, premium cable TV series, music videos, design concepts and commercials. His talent as a Digital Lead Compositor on the cable TV Show Black Sails (2014) earned him recognition of significant contributions to the Primetime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Special and Visual Effects in a Supporting Role. Chris is a decade-long member of the Visual Effects Society (VES), an Emmy® Voting Member of the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) as well as the Television Academy (ATAS) based in Los Angeles. According to USCIS, Chris demonstrated extraordinary ability, highlighting significant contributions to the field, ultimately obtaining dual citizenship and work authorizations in the US, EU and Vietnam.
