Murray Abraham, Frances McDormand, John Patrick Shanley, Estelle Parsons, and Ellen Burstyn in addition to renowned teachers Austin Pendleton, Larry Moss, Terry Schreiber, Chazz Palminteri, and Bob Krakower who have given him the tools to dig deep into his roles and not stop until he finds the truth of the characters he plays. When not creating, Stephen can be found reading classic literature, watching classic films, eating Skittles, drinking Orangina, running in Astoria Park, protesting on the streets of NYC against national and global injustices, traveling, and spending time immersed in nature.
