Another dragonrider has been added to Funko's Pop! Rides collection for House of the Dragon. Prince Aemond Targaryen and his dragon Vhagar have been transformed into a brand new Funko figure. They will join the rest of his family in this latest set. While its release date has yet to be announced, the figure in question is now listed on the official Funko website.
With a listed price of $30, the Aemond Targaryen with Vhagar figure is part of the Pop! Rides Deluxe set. It's 15.2 cm (6 inches) tall and will have the Prince Regent mounted on his dragon. Based on the renders, Vhagar's entire body isn't going to be featured, which makes sense considering that she's a really large dragon, as seen in the show. While the release date for this figure has yet to be listed on the Funko site, online retailer Popculcha estimates that the figure will be...

Disney+'s Andor recurring co-star, Joplin Sibtain, who played Brasso, is taking a trip to Westeros in House of the Dragon. His character in the science fiction series, which is part of the Star Wars franchise, was Cassian Andor's co-worker and friend. After having a devastating role to play in a Season 2 episode, the actor is now joining the cast of George R. R. Martin and Ryan Condal's series.
According to Deadline, Sibtain recently snagged a role in Season 3 of House of the Dragon. He's among a few new cast additions to the fantasy drama, which debuted in 2022 on HBO. Sibtain will play Ser "Bold" Jon Roxton, and Tom Cullen will play Ser Luthor Largent. Meanwhile, Barry Sloane, who played Aiden Mathis in 43 episodes of ABC's Revenge, will play Ser Adrian Redfort. As House of the Dragon continues to grow in popularity, even more new additions are being announced.

It's been far too long since the most recent season of House of the Dragon concluded on HBO, and the wait for new episodes rages on and on, but at least we're continuing to receive news about what's to come in season 3. As filming continues on the highly anticipated third season, we just learned about three new cast members who have been cast in some key roles.
Revenge alum Barry Sloane joins the cast as Ser Adrian Redfort, who is one of the members of Rhaenyra Targaryen's Queensguard. Sloane has also appeared in shows like Hollyoaks, Longmire, Shameless, Six, and he will also appear in the upcoming second and final of The Sandman on Netflix. But as a Revenge fan, I know him best as Emily Thorne's former flame Aiden Mathis.
House of the Dragon season 3 also adds Tom Cullen as Ser Luthor Largent, who's a commander for the City Watch of King's Landing.

Stephen King is happy to describe his stories like they're a burger-and-fries combo meal. It's a fair self-assessment; King's writing is cozy and approachable in how it tells us about horror and mystery, saving the rare moments of his more lyrical art for the pages where it punches the most. His characters are often familiar to the middle class of the past decades, everyday folk put at odds with something beyond their experience. Many of them do what they must, then fade. King is best at ideas and structure, but his endings -- and even the characters that carry them -- are sometimes weighed down with flaws.
That never stops one of his books from being great fun to devour, and sometimes, some of King's characters get a shine to them that makes them stand out. We're going to have a palaver with 15 of his best, a ka-tet of men...

Underneath the radical swoon of Andrew Haigh’s ground-shifting gay drama Weekend was a swell of sadness. My Lady Jane has sadly been added to the ever-growing list of streaming shows canceled after just one season. Despite being praised as one of the best shows of the year so far, the series didn't attract enough viewers to earn another season. While the story did end on a positive note, fans were understandably disappointed by the news, especially since the show only adapted the first half of the book on which it was based. The fanbase is already rallying to save the series, but as they wait to see if another platform will grant their wish, they might want to check out some other shows in the same vein.

When it comes to indie development, studios like OutOfTheBit have to ensure they go above and beyond the gaming norms. The industry is constantly changing, and the best way to stand out when competing against Aaa titles with multi-million dollar budgets is to think outside the box. In order to better understand how these smaller developers find success, it is also important to hear what they have to say and consider the bigger picture.
We had the pleasure of speaking with the developers at OutOfTheBit, an indie studio based in London, England, to talk about what the world looks like on their side of the business. Nanuka: Secret of the Shattering Moon introduces a fun hand-to-hand combat system & a world inspired by the Sicilian landscape. Protagonist Nanuka is a clumsy martial artist, offering a fresh take on platformers. Developers evolved from Full Void to create a more lighthearted game that leans into its cartoon elements.
Nanuka: Secret of the Shattering Moon is an upcoming fantasy platformer that mixes hand-to-hand combat and environmental puzzles. It's the second game from indie developer OutOfTheBit, which previously released the dystopian puzzler Full Void last year. Players assume the role of clumsy protagonist Nanuka, a teenage girl with a purple belt in martial arts, as she attempts to save the world from an impending disaster.
This new title is quite different from 2023's Full Void, introducing a brighter color palette, cartoon-style aesthetic, and a new combat system. The world itself is inspired by the Sicilian landscape, and there will be a...

Whether playing Di Kate Fleming in Line of Duty or a back-against-the-wall bomb disposal expert in ITV’s Trigger Point, Vicky McClure has mastered the art of procedurals over the years.
But in Paramount+ series Insomnia from The Crown producer Left Bank, in which she plays a career woman, Emma, who experiences a breakdown when she suddenly stops being able to sleep, the actor-producer bucked the trend.
“I feel like I’ve grown up, I’m 40 now,” McClure told an Insomnia Q&a in London late last month. “There’s a lot of procedural drama that I do and I enjoy it, but I was excited to step into something that felt different.” McClure added that she quite enjoyed walking in heels for the entirety of the series, for example.

What links: a drug dealer in Trainspotting, a wrestling referee in The World According to Garp, a disgruntled restaurant guest in The Night Manager, an Aunt who slaps Madeline Brewer’s face in The Handmaid’s Tale, and a police officer in Jack Reacher: Never Go Back?

The immediate flaw in any attempt to stack the twelve extant Harlan Coben TV thrillers in order of greatness is that none of them are exactly great. Pretty much all of them though, are compulsive viewing and will pull you through a bucking and twisting story at the speed of a beagle on the scent of a nearby sausage. They’re packed with incident and revelations, and are generally performed by a charismatic cast so big that you’ll never quite meet them all, let alone tire of their company. Binge-watches par excellence, each one of these series is precision-designed to be gulped down in very few bites.
As these stories all shop for plot in the same aisle, chances are that if you enjoy one Harlan Coben thriller, you’ll enjoy the others. They’re all filled with cliff-hangers, twists, secret identities, surprise resurrections, flashback wigs, and oh-no-it-was-you-all-along reveals.

In any given year, British TV can be relied on to provide plenty in the way of crime drama, and 2023 was no different. Between these returning series and newcomers A Town Called Malice, Blue Lights, Marlow, Payback, Rebus, Steeltown Murders, The Gold, The Sixth Commandment, Wolf and more, crime continued to flourish on the small screen.
Happily though, that was far from all that UK TV offered this year. There was fantasy too, in the form of Netflix’s South London super-powers drama Supacell, ghost detective series Lockwood & Co., Greek and Roman mythology series Kaos, and sci-fi in Prime Video’s The Rig.
Add to all those the romances, dramas inspired by real-life, and several other book adaptations, period and otherwise plus music-based dramas Champion and This Town, and it was a pretty full slate.

The Gold debuted on the BBC last year and was met with wonderful accolades. And rightly so. The miniseries was inspired by the strange real-life events that unfolded on November 26, 1983, when six armed men broke into the Brink’s-Mat security depot near London’s Heathrow Airport and planned to steal £1m. They inadvertently stumbled across £26m gold bullion instead.
Those real-life elements ignite The Gold, which made its debut on Paramount+ on September 17. Whether it becomes one of the streamers biggest hits of the year, as it did on the BBC, remains to be seen. Regardless, the series is primed to generate interest and, in between Star Trek seasons, it’s one of the more intriguing outings to hit Paramount+ this fall.

"Gold like that – you can't control it.
