With the first Ironheart teaser expected to be released tomorrow and Superman's trailer confirmed for Wednesday, it's shaping up to be a busy week for news.
As for Monday, we're kicking things off with an official look at Nicolas Cage's Spider-Man in Amazon and MGM+'s Spider-Noir TV series.
The wall-crawling private investigator has already been spotted in set photos, but this spectacular black-and-white image is like seeing the comic books—and 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse—come to life in live-action.
Cage can be seen striking an iconic Spider-Man pose and will clearly be able to shoot webs in the show. Whether Spider-Noir can right the ship for Sony after disappointments like Madame Web, Morbius, and Kraven the Hunter remains to be seen.
It's interesting that this still has been presented in black-and-white because Spider-Noir star Lukas Haas previously said, "We filmed it in - I...

Cage first played the character in Into the Spider-Verse, then reprised the role for Across the Spider-Verse and is expected to reprise the role in the third film, Beyond the Spider-Verse. It would make sense for the live action version of this character to be the same one featured in the animated movies, they are played by the same person after all, but there has been no official confirmation on this.
MGM+ is where the series will initially debut in the US, but will then become available on Amazon Prime Video globally. The series will have eight episodes and, while there aren’t a ton of details about it right now, the series is said to be a hard boiled detective story set in an alternate version of 1930s New York City where Nicholas Cage’s character is based.

Sitting atop the global box office is A Minecraft Movie, a film that’s taken 11 years and 28 writers to get to the screen.
After struggling in development for the best part of a decade, cinemas were packed out this past weekend as A Minecraft Movie opened to the kind of numbers we’ve not seen for a while. Over $300m of business was done around the globe in the three days, and with school holidays kicking off, Warner Bros’ bank balance should look a fair amount healthier by the time the film has completed its run.
It’s little secret that A Minecraft Movie went through plenty of creatives on its way to the screen, though, with Jared Hess the director who finally got it completed. But also, a lot of writers were involved. The final WGA-sanctioned credits for the film list six different names. Story on the film is credited to Allison Schroeder,...

Fast fam, a lot is brewing for the upcoming Fast X: Part 2. The highly anticipated feature in the franchise will be the beginning of the end of the road for the long-running franchise and the Toretto family. It seems like Vin Diesel is leaving no stones unturned to dish out a full dose of nostalgia as he keeps posting new behind-the-scenes details to keep the fans updated.
In a new Instagram post, the actor is seen donning a Toretto’s Garage t-shirt that elaborates on the themes of the franchise with words, heart, legacy, and family. The caption doesn’t give away anything as Diesel wrote, “Grateful and blessed…” which he always is when it comes to the Fast & Furious franchise. However, it is to be noted that he previously shared a behind-the-scenes image of his first car from 2001’s The Fast and the Furious movie, so it...

One of the deadliest characters in the Mortal Kombat universe has just been immortalized with a new collectible. Iron Studios has officially released the first images of a new Kung Lao figure from Mortal Kombat, showing the deadly warrior standing atop a pool of skulls, the remains of anyone foolish enough to face him. The figure is based on Kung Lao’s appearance in the Mortal Kombat video game franchise instead of Max Huang’s portrayal of the character in the 2021 film, a role that he will reprise in the sequel coming to theaters later this year. The new Kung Lao figure retails for $199.99 and is now available for pre-order from IronStudios.com. It will be shipped out worldwide later this year between October and December.
This isn’t the first time this year that Iron Studios has given a new figure to a character from the Mortal Kombat franchise.

Kai Caster played Dirk Bennett on ten episodes of the Prime Video series The Baxters, showed up in a season 3 episode of Magnum P.I. and a season 8 episode of American Horror Story, and – after playing Young Kayce in a season 2 episode of Yellowstone – was cast to play the character Rowdy in five episodes of the fifth season. Now, Deadline reports that Caster has landed a guest role in Prime Video’s Marvel-inspired series Spider-Noir and has also secured a leading role in the horror comedy Halloween Store.

Exclusive: Kai Caster has booked a leading role in the Shane Dax Taylor indie feature Halloween Store and a guest role in Amazon’s Marvel series Spider-Noir.
In Halloween Store, Caster plays the boyfriend of the lead character, Amy (Natalie Lind), and a star quarterback with alternative motives. At first glance, Brock is the epitome of an all-American good boy, but he may just have a dark, sinister side. Simon Rex also stars in the film, which is set on Halloween night inside a costume store where a group of people are stuck and a killer is on the prowl.
Details regarding his character are under wraps. I’m really looking forward to Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Noir, and one actor on the series has teased that it could double down on the film noir aspect. While speaking with ComingSoon.net, Lukas Haas said Spider-Noir could be released in black-and-white. I’d be into that.
“We filmed it in — I think it may come out in both black and white and color, but when we filmed it, the monitors were all black and white, so you got this feeling and it looked very, very authentic,” Haas said. “To the point that I would actually go and look at the monitor and think I was looking at some older footage, but it was actually just a monitor of what was on the camera at the time. They did a beautiful job with the filters and all that stuff, making it look like genuine old 1930s, black and white film.

Amazon's upcoming Spider-Noir series has received a surprising update from actor Lukas Haas, who has suggested that viewers may find two different viewing experiences available to them when the series finally arrives on Prime Video. Living up to its name, Haas has suggested that, as well as being able to watch the unconventional superhero show starring Nicolas Cage in color, there is a chance that a “noir” black and white version will be released as well.
Compared to network television, streaming opens many options up when it comes to how shows are put into the world, including the ability to vary episode lengths, episode counts, and how many versions are released. Speaking to ComingSoon, Haas said of the upcoming Marvel-based series:
“It was just an incredible project. Everybody involved was amazing. Brendan Gleason, he plays my boss. Just getting to, to do that noir thing. It was very genuine film noir,...

Spider-Noir remains in production and, if the set photos we've seen are any indication, the web-slinger's first TV series will put a unique new spin on Spider-Man.
Screen icon Nicolas Cage plays Ben Reilly, a private eye who moonlights as a superhero. We've seen him swinging into action on set, suggesting the series will be very much in line with the comics, even though those featured Peter Parker under the mask. Why Spider-Noir is named after his clone hasn't been made clear.
Lukas Haas has landed a mystery role in the show and, during a recent interview with Coming Soon, suggested the series could be released in black and white as well as colour.

In response to the Covid pandemic, Warner Bros. gave all of their 2021 films day-and-date theatrical and Max streaming releases – and one movie that really benefited from the streaming side of that strategy was the video game adaptation Mortal Kombat, released in April of 2021. As reported by Business Insider, Mortal Kombat had the best weekend of any of the Warner Bros. releases on Max, with a total of 3.8 million viewers during its first few days. In addition to that, the film, which cost $55 million to make, earned $83.6 million at the global box office. So, within months of its release, Warner Bros. was already developing sequels and spinoffs. The first follow-up will be making its way into theatres sometime in 2025 – and here’s everything we know about Mortal Kombat 2.

Longlegs star Nicolas Cage voiced the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man Noir in the animated feature Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and we’re going to have the chance to watch him play the character in live-action in the upcoming MGM+ and Prime Video series that’s going by the title Spider-Noir. That show is currently in production, and today, Deadline revealed that the recurring cast includes Amy Aquino (Bosch) and Andrew Robinson (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)!
I’m especially excited to hear that Andrew Robinson is involved with this show, because he has been largely absent from our screens for way too long. The character actors has racked up over 100 credits over the course of a career that stretches back to 1969, with Dirty Harry, Mask, Cobra, Hellraiser, Shoot to Kill, Child’s Play 3, Trancers III, Pumpkinhead II: Blood Wings, and The Puppet Masters being among the many movies you might have seen him in.

It's business as usual in Los Angeles now the worst of the wildfires is over and Spider-Noir resumed shooting yesterday. Lead star Nicolas Cage, no stranger to comic book adaptations, has been spotted in costume as Ben Reilly, albeit in his P.I. gear rather than a super-suit.
The actor first played this version of Spidey in 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and became an instant fan-favourite. The fact he's getting to reprise the role in live-action isn't something we ever expected, though this Spider-Man is Ben, not Peter Parker (we don't think that makes him a clone; it's more than likely a result of Sony not wanting to confuse audiences).
It's been a while since we got any updates about Spider-Noir but MGM and Amazon Prime appear to be moving full steam ahead with the streaming series.
While it was put into development before Sony Pictures pulled the plug on its villain-led Marvel Universe,...

Vin Diesel and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had a public feud during the filming of the ‘Fast & Furious’ movies. The tension started in 2016 when they disagreed on set, with Johnson openly criticizing some of his co-stars including calling “them” “chicken shit” and “candy ass:” It turns out he was referring to Diesel.
The feud continued for years, with both actors speaking about their differences in interviews.
At the 2025 Golden Globes, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson met when Diesel went on stage to present an award to “Wicked.” Diesel paused during his speech to say, “Hey, Dwayne,” who was in the audience, and the camera showed Johnson awkwardly smiling in the crowd, while the audience laughed because of their past feud.
The feud was long and legendary at least in celebrity circles and it seemingly ended back in 2023 when Johnson surprised fans by appearing as Luke Hobbs in a Fast X mid-credits scene.

Fast X: Part 2 seemingly gets a new update from Vin Diesel, with a set photo suggesting that filming on the sequel has now begun. Spider-Man swings into action in a new look at Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man. The upcoming Marvel Animation series will focus on a variant of Peter Parker who was mentored by Norman Osborn instead of Tony Stark.

The Lost City is an action-packed romantic comedy with something in it for everyone. And now that it's come to Netflix a lot more people can see it. In fact, in the week since it debuted, the 2022 film has been in the streamer's list of Top 10 movies.
The Lost City centers on Sandra Bullock's Loretta Sage, a writer of sexy treasure-hunting novels that focus on her protagonist, Dr. Angela Lovemore, and her paramour, Dash McMann, a gorgeous and multiple-degree-holding man who joins her on all her adventures. In real life, though, Dash is played by Channing Tatum's cover model Alan, a less accomplished, but very hot, specimen, who happens to adore Loretta, even though she can't seem to stand him.
But when Loretta is kidnapped by Daniel Radcliffe's despicable Abigail Fairfax who happens to have serious jealousy issues over his younger brother getting the reins to the...

Sony and Amazon/MGM's Spider-Noir series appears to be taking some major liberties with the source material, but given how obscure this Variant of the web-slinger is, does it really matter if "Ben Reilly" is beneath the mask instead of Peter Parker?
That's debatable; regardless, Sony appears to be ignoring the fact Ben is Peter's clone and we don't anticipate that being addressed in any way when Spider-Noir swings on to streaming next year.
Today, we have some new photos from the TV show's set (via Just Jared) showcasing Nicolas Cage's private eye. We've already seen that the series will feature a comic-accurate superhero costume and Cage unquestionably looks the part of "Ben" in these snaps.
Earlier this year, Cage opened up on what led to him reprising a role he first played in the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Fast and Furious 11 gets an uncertain filming update from Jordana Brewster, who plays Mia Toretto. Brewster first appeared as Mia, little sister to Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto, in the 2001 original movie, and she has since played an important role in a number of the Fast & Furious sequels, including last year's Fast X. After a mixed reception to the most recent installment, Fast & Furious 11 is confirmed to be on the way, and it could end up being the final installment in the Fast Saga.
During a recent interview with Screen Rant, Brewster is asked what she knows about Fast & Furious 11's filming timeline, revealing that she's not yet aware of when production might start. After joking that she might press Diesel for more information about the sequel, the actor hopes that production isn't too far off. Check out Brewster's comment below:

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand, adapting bigger and bolder storylines to live-action, Sony too is moving ahead with its Spider-Man Universe. Having access to some 900 or so characters related to the fan-favorite web-slinger, the studio is now moving to the small screen to bring yet another story to live-action.

Starring Nicolas Cage, the studio has been developing the series Spider-Noir for quite some time now, and the first looks of the series were recently leaked. Reprising his role from the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse, this time in live-action, fans are excited and waiting eagerly for the series.
Despite Sony’s track record of Marvel flicks (other than the Spider-Verse movies) being, bluntly stating, terrible, the prospect of seeing Cage as the live version of his character does seem alluring. So, without further ado, here is all we know about the latest and upcoming series.
