Reed is originally from Calgary, Canada. From 2000 through 2008, Reed resided in New York, studying acting at Carnegie Hall and HB Studio, while performing in numerous Off-Broadway Shakespearean and contemporary theatre productions. He distinguished himself in performances playing the 'First Murderer' and 'Lennox' in The Metropolitan Opera's production of Giuseppe Verdi's, "Macbeth", directed by Adrian Noble. As well as playing 'Eddie' in "Fool for Love", as 'David' in the highly regarded original comedy "How to Speak Woman", as 'Franz' in a production of Arthur Schnitzler's "La Ronde" and as 'Lysander' in a summer stock production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream".
In 2012, Reed founded Paleo North Media Ltd. to produce compelling feature films, short films, commercials and corporate videos, including the award-winning action film, Valor's Dawn, which Reed wrote, produced, directed and played the lead in. The film was sold and distributed in 2016 after doing the festival circuit and winning multiple awards. Moreover, Reed's production company shot and delivered dynamic corporate videos for Sonim Industries and Bell Canada.
