Lara Rain is a Canadian-Lebanese singer, film and theater actress and performer.
She started her career as the first TV presenter from the Middle-East to ever host a show on MTV Europe, London (2000-2005). Her debut acting role was in Hany Tamba's Melodrama Habibi (2008), followed by Joud Saeed's Once Again (2010). The movie that marked her career was Ghadi (2013) directed by Amin Dora in which she co-starred alongside writer and actor Georges Khabbaz. She is also known for Neswen (2014) directed by Sam Andraos.
Known for her concerts with internationally acclaimed musician Ziad Rahbani with whom she has been singing since 2007, she was initiated to the stage as a child by her mother, Liliane Karam a.k.a. "Ton Amie Liliane", a pioneer in Lebanese theater and the children's idol of the 80's.
In 2016, Lara produced her first musical entitled "Queen of the Seasons" which she has written and directed.
