Joshua was born to a Panamanian family who immigrated to the states in the 70s. His father joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany where Joshua was born. Moving back to the states where he was raised with his two sisters in the DC/Virginia area, he remained here until he would travel to several military bases throughout his childhood.

During high school, Joshua was a star athlete where he was a champion weightlifter and wrestler. He also played football, basketball and baseball at a high level. Joshua also became a club promoter while in high school and has done many concert events through out and after school. After high school he got into the world of finance and sales becoming a Senior Account Executive for companies such as AOL and AMEX. He then became a Regional Sales Manager for one of the largest land development companies in the state of California.

After the market crash in 2006/2007, Joshua began learning how to write screenplays. Something he's always had a passion for. He moved to New York from Sacramento and started working as a PA on the set of Law and Order Criminal Intent. From there, he has worked his way up to a First Assistant Director/Producer/Director on over hundreds of projects.
