Daniel R Cooper was born in Nassau, Bahamas and raised in New York City
since turning 1 years old. He was raised by both parents and has two
brothers and one sister. While growing up Daniel loved playing
basketball, football and baseball. He really wanted to become the best
athlete in all three sports as he played in tournaments and church
activities.
One day Daniel's parents took their son to an audition for the 80s kids show Rompa Room. He then realized after getting the part in this TV show he loved the acting world. Daniel was always a joyful, pleasant and had a wonderful personality and great sense of humor. Since growing up Daniel didn't know how to get back into this world of entertainment because of new responsibilities and work. In 2007 Daniel quit his 5 year retail management job then two months later did some background work on set of Denzel Washington Film American Gangster.
Since finishing that film he then moved on to do 30 more films. After doing so he then began to think he can write and make movies. Daniel sat back wrote his first full-length comedy movie "A Dollar And A Nightmare". After networking on set of American Gangster he then met plenty of actors, writers, directors, video photographers and then teamed up with them all to make his new hit credited SAG approved romantic/comedy film Mr. Luv.
Daniel wrote, directed and acted in his first film and sent it out to film festivals. Daniel R Cooper is making noise as his film Mr. Luv was accepted into the International Black and Latino Film Festival on July 11th 2008 and still waiting for other festivals to respond back. Daniel also joined the Screen Actors Guild this year 2008 on his birthday, May 20th.
Right now Daniel is shopping his full length comedy script around "A Dollar And A Nightmare". On November 23rd 2009 his new drama short "Can't Say A Word" was finished editing as he sets forth in submitting to film festivals and contest.Daniel has a few more shorts & feature films in the works starting in 2010 .
