Meet the Queen of Prints: Mary Katrantzou’s Bold Fashion Legacy
Image
Mary Katrantzou is one of Greece’s leading fashion designers. After studying briefly in the United States, Katrantzou transferred to London and launched her eponymous brand at London Fashion Week.

The brand has collaborated with household names like Topshop and Longchamp for sell-out collections. Mary Katrantzou has earned the nickname ‘Queen of Prints’ with every collection having its unique print story.

In October 2014, Vogue unveiled the collaboration between Adidas Originals and designer Mary Katrantzou. Drawing inspiration from track shoes worn by medalists in the 1970s and 1980s, Katrantzou reimagined Adidas’s classic designs with bold colors and gold hardware. The collection featured body-hugging zip-up dresses and pullovers made from neoprene and printed mesh, showcasing abstract florals, stripes, and laces.

Before 'The Hunger Games,' Suzanne Collins Wrote Shows for Children
Image
The Hunger Games series has become extremely popular and iconic. More than 100 million of the books have been sold, and a sixth movie is currently in development. The dark and thrilling stories in the series have captivated audiences by showing an oppressed society where children are forced to fight each other in televised games.

However, Suzanne Collins, the author of The Hunger Games, didn't just publish the series right as she graduated from college. She began her career in a much different way, writing lighthearted TV shows for children, as well as a few animated movies. While working on the shows, Collins helped get the inspiration she needed to write The Hunger Games.

Cara Buono
In Fidelity (2024) Movie Review: A frustratingly uninspired look at monogamy
Cara Buono
Holly (Cara Buono) is dying. She and her loving and supportive husband Lyle (Chris Parnell) have been in a relationship for 30 years without ever feeling like they needed anyone other than each other. Their estranged Gen-z daughter Greta (Willows Sheilds) is not particularly fond of Holly – possibly because she had always been extremely strict towards her. However, at such an obvious juncture in her life, Holly questions if her being monogamous has restricted her from expressing and experiencing what she truly desires. Rob Margolies’ “In Fidelity” explores this aspect of a long-term relationship but with a frustratingly uninspired outlook.

“In Fidelity” introduces us to the urgency of Holly’s situation and the idea that she has never been in a romantic relationship ever in her life before meeting her husband Lyle. It’s obvious that the inevitability of her life slipping away might make her question it. However, director Margolies...

Chris Parnell’s Yassified Movie Poster Is Weirding Everybody Out
Image
We all love Chris Parnell, thanks to his work on Saturday Night Live, his vocal performance as Jerry Smith on Rick and Morty and, of course, all of his free medical advice from 30 Rock. After years of reliably hilarious performances, Parnell is now taking a slightly more dramatic turn in the upcoming dramedy In Fidelity, which is all about a married couple who decide to “test the romantic boundaries of their monogamous relationship” with an open marriage.

While the movie won’t be released until November, the promotional push for In Fidelity has been turning heads on social media, and not in the best way. Specifically, everyone is pretty weirded out by the character poster featuring, as critic Charles Bramesco put it, “smooth Parnell.”

Others noticed that “Smooth Chris Parnell” works perfectly when copy and pasted into one particular Michael Jackson song.

Okay, there’s a lot to unpack here.

House of the Dragon Star Reacts to Hunger Games Fantasy Casting
Image
Fans favorite Tom Glynn-Carney to play young Haymitch Abernathy in the upcoming Hunger Games film. Glynn-Carney surprised by the online campaign, finds it "flattering" and open to the role. The actor seeks challenging roles to push himself and is willing to take on unfamiliar characters.

Fans of The Hunger Games franchise are already tossing around names of who should play a young Haymitch Abernathy in Sunrise on the Reaping, and House of the Dragon star Tom Glynn-Carney seems to be the favorite thus far. Despite the online campaign to cast the 29-year-old actor in the part, however, he says he had no idea that was even a thing, and calls it "flattering." Announced back in June, Sunrise on the Reaping is the new novel by author Suzanne Collins set in The Hunger Games universe that will also be adapted for the big screen in 2026.

Dune: Part Two star Austin Butler was almost part of another major science fiction film series. The actor, who is currently busy promoting his new movie The Bikeriders, recently revealed that he auditioned for the role of Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games.

In an interview with BuzzFeed Celeb, alongside his The Bikeriders co-star Jodie Comer, Butler briefly opened up about the failed audition. "I auditioned for The Hunger Games, and I didn't get it at all. I don't even think I got a callback," he recalled. "What's the character? Peeta? Yeah, Josh Hutcherson got that. He's great." Hutcherson starred as Peeta in all four of the original Hunger Games movies, which were released between 2012 and 2015.

There are countless movies that explore the end of the world, whether it be at the hand of humanity's greed, a deadly plague, or some unknown force. Post-apocalyptic films have been popular for decades, but they've really boomed since the dawn of the 2010s. There have been tons of great post-apocalyptic movies released during this time, some of which have redefined what the genre is capable of.

10 Hunger Games Characters, Ranked Worst To Best
Image
Gale Hawthorne's personal feelings prioritize his actions, but his hero complex ultimately leads to negative consequences such as Prim's death. Primrose Everdeen's character lacks development and screen time, making her death less impactful in the films. President Snow's character feels one-dimensional, lacking complexity and character development, although this is addressed in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

The Hunger Games characters are still as popular as ever, even nearly nine years after the franchise came to an end with Mockingjay: Part Two. A new generation of audiences was introduced to the series after the release of its prequel, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, in 2023, which delved further into the timeline of Panem's Hunger Games. The Hunger Games series comes from the mind of Suzanne Collins, with each installment sharing the same name as the novel it's based on: The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Mockingjay, and...

Does Katniss Truly Love Peeta By The End Of The Hunger Games?

The Hunger Games: Why Snow Laughs When Katniss Kills Coin
Image
Snow's laughter when Katniss kills Coin hints at his enjoyment of the irony and the fact that he has momentarily escaped death. Katniss kills Coin because she sees through her facade and realizes she would be another dangerous leader who perpetuates evil. Katniss allows Snow to live because she knows the revolution is beyond her and wants to show that others in power should also be worried.

Snow laughed when Katniss killed Coin in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2, showing that Panem's deposed tyrant may have known something about Katniss's actions that viewers — and maybe even Katniss herself — didn't. The shocking scene was meant to be the official end of Former President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and the beginning of a new age for Panem. However, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) obviously didn't agree. Katniss had good reason since she spent the bulk of her time watching those in...

‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1’ Ending Explained
Image
In The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 1, the war in Panem is finally beginning. Following Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) after her narrow escape from the Quarter Quell arena at the end of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, we begin with her trying to work through her trauma over surviving another round in the games, living in District 13 with her mother and Prim (Willow Shields). After surviving that traumatizing experience in the arena twice, Katniss' entire being is shaken. However, that is partially due to Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) being held captive and tortured by President Snow (Donald Sutherland) in the Capitol, as they were unable to save him and Johanna (Jena Malone) after Katniss destroyed the arena. Nonetheless, after much pushing and pleading from those in District 13, including President Alma Coin (Julianne Moore) and former Gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee (Philip Seymour Hoffman), Katniss agrees to be the face of the revolution — the Mockingjay — with...

Based on the series of novels by Suzanne Collins, The Hunger Games has since been adapted into a multi-billion dollar film franchise. Beginning with three main novels —The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay — the series follows teenage Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), who volunteers in the place of her sister Prim (Willow Shields) to join The Hunger Games, a mandatory fight-to-the-death event whereby each of the 12 Districts of Panem must put forth one boy and one girl (known as tributes) to compete. 'The Hunger Games' Ending Explained: The Battle Has Just Begun
Image
In The Hunger Games, based on the books by Suzanne Collins, we’re thrust into the world of Panem, a bleak and far too realistic dystopian land set in the distant future. The Capitol, where the wealthy and well-to-do live, is supported by the country’s twelve impoverished and hungry districts filled with workers who are forced to work endlessly to provide the city with the goods and services they need to live their long, lavish, and luxurious lives. We enter the world through the eyes of Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) from Panem’s most neglected district: District 12. In order to save her sister Prim (Willow Shields), who is drawn from the collection of names despite the odds actually being in her favor, Katniss is unlucky enough to find herself a tribute in the 74th Hunger Games — an annual event where two tributes between the ages of 12 and 18, one male and one female,...

Spinning Out Season 2: Cancelation, Renewal Chances & Everything We Know
Image
Spinning Out season 2 was canceled by Netflix due to low viewership figures during its first season, leading to disappointment for fans who were left with unanswered questions from the cliffhanger ending. The decision to cancel the show after only a month contributed to Netflix's reputation for early cancellations, although its renewal policy has become more forgiving since then. While it's not impossible for Spinning Out season 2 to happen, the slim chances of it being renewed four years after its cancellation would require significant fan campaigning and finding a new network or streaming platform to pick it up.

Spinning Out season 2 never arrived on Netflix, as the streamer canceled the Kaya Scoldario-led ice skating drama barely a month after it debuted. Release and canceled in 2020, Spinning Out was created by Samantha Stratton and starred Scoldario as young ice skater Kat. Kat’s Olympic aspirations, bipolar disorder, pressure from mother Carol (January Jones...

‘In Fidelity': Chris Parnell and Cara Buono Hold End-of-Life Indecent Proposal in Trailer for Bittersweet Rom-Com (Exclusive Video)
Image
The upcoming dramedy “In Fidelity” takes viewers through a surprising, difficult-to-answer question: Can you get a hall pass from your spouse if you’re dying?

Starring “Saturday Night Live” alum Chris Parnell and Cara Buono, “In Fidelity” tells the story of Lyle and Holly, a happily married New York couple whose world is rocked when Holly becomes terminally ill — and asks to sleep with their well-known rock star neighbor (Dennis Haysbert) before she dies young.

It’s not an easy ask, even after Lyle says yes, and you can see for yourself in the humorously bittersweet trailer, right now at the top of the page.

Alongside Parnell, Buono and Hasbert, the film also features Willow Shields (‘’The Hunger Games’’) as their risk-taking Gen-z daughter, and Illeana Douglas (“Grace of My Heart”) as Lyle and Holly’s eccentric confidante Ethel.

Image
Jena Malone is opening up about a past sexual assault. The 38-year-old actress, who starred as Johanna Mason in the final three “Hunger Games” films, took to Instagram on Tuesday to reflect on how she felt when her journey with the franchise came to an end.

“This photo was taken right after I wrapped ‘Mockingjay — Part Two’ and I had to say goodbye to everyone on set. We were shooting in a beautiful estate in the countryside of France and I asked the driver to let me out in this field so I could cry and capture this moment,” she began. “Even tho this time in Paris was extremely hard for me, was going thru a bad break up and also was sexually assaulted by someone I had worked with, I was so full of gratitude for this project, the people I became close with and this amazing part I got to play.

‘Detective Knight: Independence’ VOD Review
Image
Stars: Bruce Willis, Jack Kilmer, Willow Shields, Lochlyn Munro, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Timothy V. Murphy, Dina Meyer | Written by Edward Drake, Corey Large | Directed by Edward Drake

Detective Knight: Independence completes the trilogy begun in Detective Knight: Rogue and continued in Detective Knight: Redemption. Although not the last of his films to be released, Assassin is slated for release in March, these were the last ones Bruce Willis made before announcing his retirement. So in a sense, it also concludes its star’s career.

The film opens with a bank robbery shot from the Pov of the robbers making it look like a first-person shooter, be sure to get the tie-in edition of Bank Robber Simulator at your local Gamestop. The robbery comes to a bloody end with Detective Knight (Bruce Willis) shooting the last of the gang while he holds a woman hostage.

Also on the scene are paramedics Dezi and Ally.

‘Detective Knight: Independence’ (2023) Movie Review
Image
Detective Knight: Independence is written and directed by Edward Drake starring Bruce Willis and Lochlyn Munro.

Bruce Willis is back in one of his latest successes, repeating the role that made him famous: a police officer.

This sequel is a thriller with some interesting formulas such as the divided screen (a là Brian De Palma), but the story is more traditional, with lots of hand-held camera, realistic photography and a plot that is always as expected.

About the Movie Detective Knight: Independence

We love Bruce Willis and we grew up watching his movies and laughing at his jokes. These last (we repeat) no longer include jokes and, although he is at the head of the cast, is no longer the main character, he is more of a secondary figure, a star to watch in B Series movies, action thrillers that are rather de-caffeinated like this one, have action scenes that,...

Bruce Willis Jumps Into Action For Detective Knight: Independence [Exclusive Clip]
Image
Screen Rant is excited to present an exclusive clip from the final installment in the Detective Knight trilogy, Detective Knight: Independence. Detective Knight (Bruce Willis) is back on the case after earning back his freedom and badge in Detective Knight: Redemption. Knight will once again have the weight of a city on his shoulders. In Detective Knight: Independence, a rogue vigilante gets his hands on a police uniform, gun, and Emt vehicle and begins terrorizing the city. Knight must catch this vigilante killer not just to save the city but his family as well.

Detective Knight's story began with Detective Knight: Rogue, in which the titular detective hunts a violent robbery crew from Los Angeles to New York after they nearly kill his partner, Eric Fitzgerald. The actions he takes cross a line and lose him both his badge and his freedom. However, he is given a chance to earn...

Trilogy Finale 'Detective Knight: Independence' Trailer with Bruce Willis
Image
"We justice fails, in Knight we trust." Lionsgate has revealed one more trailer for the final film in this action thriller trilogy - this one is called Detective Knight: Independence, from filmmaker Edward Drake. This is the third and final film in the Detective Knight series, all featuring Willis as a Detective. I keep hoping all these bad Bruce Willis movies are done, considering his health, but nope there's always more. Bruce Willis stars as Detective James Knight in this final, tense chapter of the trilogy. Knight's last-minute assignment to the Independence Day shift turns into a race to stop an unbalanced ambulance Emt from ruining the day. The misguided vigilante, playing cop with a stolen gun and uniform, has a bank vault full of reasons to put on his own fireworks show… one that will strike dangerously close to Knight’s home. The cast also includes Jack Kilmer,...

Remember when Zendaya almost won ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and Val Chmerkovskiy told her she’d win an Oscar one day?
Image
In another multiverse, Zendaya could be going for a Megot right now. You know what the last four letters stand for. The “M,” you ask? That’s for Mirrorball, of course. Long before she became the youngest Best Drama Actress Emmy winner with “Euphoria” and entered the current Best Actress Oscar race with “Malcolm & Marie,” Zendaya nearly won the 16th season of “Dancing with the Stars” with Val Chmerkovskiy, finishing second to Kellie Pickler and Derek Hough.

Season 16 aired in spring 2013, and to give you a sense of how long ago that was/make you wither into dust, that was the last season to have a results show and Brooke Burke was still Tom Bergeron‘s co-host. At the time, 16-year-old Zendaya was on Disney Channel’s “Shake It Up” and became the youngest “Dancing” contestant to date, eclipsing then-17-year-old Shawn Johnson, the Season 8 champ.

Zendaya was hot...
