Ryan Oksenberg is a writer-director-editor from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, studying Motion Pictures and West African percussion.
His thesis documentary, "Cease To Exist," explores Charles Manson's musical aspirations in connection to the Helter Skelter murders. Ryan uploaded the doc to YouTube as early as 2007, where it reached 1M views.
"Foibles" is his feature debut. Short films of his premiered in competition at Fantasia Int'l Film Festival and Bucheon Int'l Fantastic Film Festival. Ryan's 2019 short, "Together" won the $50K StudioFest prize and his 2020 short, "New Not Normal," won "Best Midnight Short" at Nightmares Film Festival.
He resides in Venice, California with his dog, cat, girlfriend and VHS collection.
