Katy Perry is calling out the recent TikTok videos that have been mocking her.
If you didn’t know, there has been a new TikTok trend of people doing exaggerated impressions of the way Katy enunciates the words in the second verse of her 2008 hit “Thinking of You.”

Keep reading to find out more…
While playing “Thinking of You,” Katy strummed her guitar and made wide-eyed facial expressions before stopping to let the crowd sing.
“I’m not going to do it. I don’t sing like that,” she then said before launching into the chorus, per a fan video.
If you didn’t see, last month, Katy responded to the internet hate surrounding her Blue Origin flight trip.

American Idol season 23 judge and season 4 winner Carrie Underwood recalled infamously tough judge Simon Cowell's criticism of one of her performances. For American Idol season 23, Carrie took Katy Perry's seat at the judging table alongside Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan. Unlike Simon, the current trio isn't known for being harsh with their critiques. In fact, they've even been accused of not doing their jobs because they rarely offer any negative feedback to the contestants.
Carrie remembered when Simon told her that her performance of "Bless the Broken Road" was "a little robotic," but she added that "he wasn't wrong."

Mandy Moore is furious, and feels tangled in red tape.
Early this year, she and her family fled their home as the horror of the wildfires tore through Los Angeles.
In the immediate aftermath, she signaled her intent to rebuild her family home when it was safe.
Now, however, she’s venting her “fury” at LA County — accusing the government of slow-walking the rebuilding process.

This week, Mandy Moore took to her Instagram Story to share a series of somewhat political messages.
“Thanks LA County for making it frustrating and impossible to rebuild after the fires as possible,” she began sarcastically.
“Shouldn’t be surprised,” Moore admitted. “But it’s mind boggling the red rape and hoops they’re putting is all through.

Dolly Parton can easily be one of country music’s most iconic voices, with several hits to her name. Apart from her music endeavors, she has also never been afraid to speak her mind – and this time, she’s turning heads with her blunt take on singing shows such as American Idol and The Voice.
While being a part of such shows would be a good opportunity for any celebrity out there, Parton is actually not interested in joining the same leagues as pop stars Katy Perry and Mariah Carey – no matter the paycheck. Yes, that’s exactly what she detailed in an interview and also mentioned why she has turned down multiple offers to join reality competition shows.

Week after week, Hacks season 4 continues to deliver everything we want. Whether it's Deborah and Ava hilariously feuding or having hard-fought moments seeing eye-to-eye, the fourth season of the Emmy Award-winning comedy has been a dream. The cameos and guest star appearances have been amazing, too, and the most recent episode finally brought back a favorite character.
In the halfway point of season 4, Hacks called in an iconic but unexpected cameo appearance from Nobody Wants This star Kristen Bell. Deborah Vance is a Veronica Mars fan. Who knew? The same episode also welcomed Paradise star Julianne Nicholson as Dance Mom, a viral social media personality who dances with Deborah to "Lifetimes" by Katy Perry.
With all of that momentum, Hacks season 4 went into the back half of the season with the long anticipated return of Kaitlin Olson as Deborah's daughter DJ. I don't know about you, but I have been...

Like love and marriage, comic book movies and cameos are an institute you cannot disparage. Marvel might be the trailblazer in this regard, finding unique and innovative ways to shoehorn everyone and their uncle into a movie or TV show, but DC isn't immune from turning its audience into a real-life Pointing Rick Dalton meme. Yet, for every great appearance, there's also a flubber -- a moment that flops harder than "Joker: Folie à Deux" did at the box office.
Take a look at 2023's "The Flash" as an example. With all its multiversal potential, minds raced to the infinite possibilities, imagining the chances of seeing Christian Bale's Batman return for a triumphant third act cameo or even seeing Ryan Reynolds' Green Lantern fly in for a visit. Instead, it turned into a CGI horrorfest where the tributes to past heroes angered -- rather than captivated -- viewers. It...

The Smurfs are back, but whether that’s a good thing or not, we’re not quite sure. These blue creatures have been a pop culture staple for decades, and now they’re making a comeback in Smurfs, a reboot set for release in 2025. Unlike previous adaptations, however, this one will be a musical, with, perhaps, more surprises along the way.
PG movies are making a box office comeback, even outperforming PG-13 films last year. Paul Dergarabedian from Comscore says they’re becoming a real summer force. And while streaming is always there, filmmakers like Dean Fleischer Camp (Lilo & Stitch) believe nothing beats the magic of a movie theater, especially for kids.
With an all-star cast and an attempt to break down the Smurf mythology, this could either be a delightful trip down memory lane or yet another miss for the franchise. Let’s break it all down, and what we know about the project.

After returning from the Blue Origin flight, popstar Katy Perry describes herself as “a human piñata” after being mocked online with endless memes.
Perry has recently been criticized for her part in Jeff Bezos’s all-female Blue Origin space flight, during which she sang Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World” and held up a setlist for her new tour to an in-flight camera. She and the rest of the crew were accused of being “tone deaf” for joining an expensive trip during economic struggle.
Her latest tour has also become the subject of mockery, with Perry appearing to put on a series of strange space-themed performances. The online backlash appears to have been enough for Perry to call out her critics emotionally.

LGBTQ audiences who wanted visibility in pop culture had it tough for most of 1995, when Morrissey’s “Boy Racer” was about as explicit as things got (“He’s just too good-looking…”). Two years before Ellen DeGeneres came out to a network TV audience of millions, several fresh shoots appeared in an otherwise largely barren field. The political ABC sitcom Spin City boasted a gay Black character, the third- or fourth-funniest cast member. A closeted lesbian chief of staff kept an eye on the hospital in NBC’s megahit E.R.

The oft-mocked pop superstar Katy Perry says that she’s sick of social media mobs treating her like a “human piñata,” but Saturday Night Live fans want to know if that metaphorical piñata is possibly filled with fresh fruit.
On May 20, 2017, Perry appeared on SNL as that weekend’s musical guest, bringing along the popular Atlanta-based rap group Migos who featured on her then-new single "Bon Appétit." When Perry took the stage for the second time to perform the new single with the visibly uncomfortable rappers, the ill-fitting combination of A-list musical talent led to one of the most awkward musical performances on the sketch show since Ashlee Simpson prospector-jigged her way into SNL infamy.
Today, as Perry’s ongoing “Lifetimes” tour draws fiercely negative reviews while clips of the pop star performing some strange choreography go viral with millions of hate-views, the SNL fandom looks back on the time...

Note: This story contains spoilers from “Hacks” Season 4, Episode 5.
“Hacks” has aways been one of those special comedies that allows some of the funniest people in Hollywood to stretch their wings. That’s why it may be surprising that one of the silliest cast members in Season 4 doesn’t come from the world of comedy at all.
“I had a Zoom with [the series’ creators] and they described the character to me. I was like, ‘I’m in’ because I never get offered comedy and I’m dying to do something where it’s a bit more fun,” Julianne Nicholson told TheWrap.
Nicholson is one of those serious actors who always makes her projects better. She’s known for her roles in somber dramas like Showtime’s “Masters of Sex,” HBO’s “Mare of Easttown” (which earned her an Emmy win) and most recently Hulu’s “Paradise” — the types of shows that often...

The Katy Perry backlash has been intensifying for weeks at this point. Since becoming one of six women to travel to space with Blue Origin last month, the singer became the target of harsh criticism: People have called her out for the trip, the way she promoted her Lifetimes Tour on it, and in its aftermath, her stage presence as she kicked off the first shows last week.
The coverage of her Blue Origin involvement only exacerbated the anti-Katy sentiment that started months earlier with the launch of her album...

Aisha Bowe, an aerospace engineer who flew to sub-orbital space on Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket in mid-April, has signed with CAA.
The Hollywood talent agency will work with Bowe to expand opportunities in publishing, speaking, podcasting, commercial endorsements and non-scripted television. The former NASA rocket scientist was among the first-ever citizen astronauts (along with Katy Perry and Gayle King) to fly on Jeff Bezos’ spacecraft for a 10-minute all-female journey to and from space.
Bowe is also the founder and CEO of STEMBoard, an engineering firm, and the creator of Lingo, a hands-on coding kit currently used by over 10,000 students, with a goal to reach one million learners over the next decade.
Her recent Blue Origin flight marked a milestone in a career that bridges aerospace, entrepreneurship and global advocacy for Stem, which is an umbrella term for science, technology, engineering and mathematics to promote their study.

If you had been one of the two other shoppers browsing the trinkets at the empty Sherman Oaks Antique Mall in early April, you probably would have seen a couple who looked like they’d time traveled from the Renaissance era. They were staring at a two-headed taxidermied rodent with a cowboy hat and a hamster posing with a skateboard and a helmet.

Even celebrities did not hold back from criticizing the singer or the mission, labeling it all a tone-deaf PR stunt. Perry, who is currently on her Lifetime tour, addressed the backlash, admitting that the backlash has left her battered and bruised.

The rocket was filled with only females and some folks out there have tried to argue that this whole trip was some kind of notch in the belt of the feminism movement.
Those on the other side, however, point out that the staged event was only afforded to passengers who could pay $150,000 per ticket.

Lily Allen is backtracking her recent criticism of Katy Perry and the Blue Origin space flight.
After the all-female space flight earlier this month, Lily, 39, and her Miss Me? podcast co-host Makita Oliver, slammed the event, calling it “so out of touch.”
“Do we want to talk about Katy Perry and her mates all going up to space for 12 minutes?” Lily questioned. “I mean, what the f–king hell is that all about? But in all seriousness: What? Why? For why?”
“We’re on the brink of recession, people are really fucking struggling to make ends meet and get food on their table,” the English singer added. “I don’t know about how things feel in London, but in New York it feels f–king expensive at the moment. It’s hard to leave the house without spending $500 — and I’m not even joking.”

Now that Gayle King and her crewmates have returned to Earth, they are already planning their next mission.
The CBS Mornings star and five other women participated in a historic and controversial Blue Origin New Shepard rocket flight to an area considered space several weeks ago.
Due to the current economic climate and the fact that Amazon founder and billionaire Jeff Bezos also founded Blue Origin, backlash arrived and continued towards Gayle and others involved in the mission.
Gayle’s crewmates included singer Katy Perry, filmmaker Kerianne Flynn, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen, aerospace engineer Aisha Bowe, and author Lauren Sanchez.
While the women celebrated their journey, online naysayers and celebrity critics continued to slam them for the trip. However, one Jersey Shore star seemingly defended them.
Amid the ongoing uproar, Gayle and her crewmates seem to be moving on, including plans for another mission for the Blue Origin crew.

This was supposed to be one of the biggest years of Katy Perry’s career.
Once the world’s biggest pop star (her 2010 album Teenage Dream is still the only album aside from Michael Jackson’s Thriller to generate five number one singles), Perry’s spotlight has dimmed considerably in recent years.
But with a massive tour coming on the heels of a literal trip to space, 2025 promised to be the year that Katy and her team would turn things around.
Instead, the pop icon is being memed so savagely that the situation is probably stirring up unpleasant memories of her “Left Shark” days.
