Susan Schectar

Susan is a New York based, Emmy-award winning hairstylist for film and television. She studied anatomy and painting at the School of Visual Arts and then used that as a launching pad to pursue a career as a makeup artist. Getting into the fashion world, she began styling hair and soon discovered she had a knack for it. That's where she met the legendary Eartha Kitt and became Miss Kitt's personal hair and makeup person for the next 3.5 years. Then it was onto Broadway to learn period wig design. Soon Susan was creating characters as a member of the Saturday Night Live hair team. Shortly afterward it all came together with the opportunity to design and style hair for film and television.
