Looking back to Fire Country's first two seasons on CBS, questions pop up about why Sabina Gadecki's Cara Maisonette left the hit series.

Fire Country recently had its third season debut on TV, continuing Bode Donovan's journey with the Cal Fire firefighting program as he works off his prison sentence. An important part of that story came through Gadecki's Cara Maisonette, who boasts nine appearances through the first two seasons.

Cara was an emergency room nurse who was also notable in the show for being Bode's ex-girlfriend, showing up in the series to help take care of her mother. She also developed a romance with Bode's childhood friend, Jake, leading to plenty of drama during her tenure.

Jordan Calloway is making sure fans get excited for the upcoming third season of Fire Country!

The actor stepped out for two days of fan events at NashHouse Southern Spoon & Saloon on Thursday (October 3) and Friday (October 4) in Nashville, Tenn.

The event featured live performances, a faux tattoo parlor, a build your own trucker hat station, and an exclusive preview of the CBS show’s third season, which premieres on October 18.

Jordan even got a visit from former co-star Sabina Gadecki, who was killed off the show in the middle of season two. She was joined by her husband, country singer Tyler Rich.

Yesterday, Deadline reported that beloved Supernatural star Jared Padalecki will be joining the cast of Fire Country for a multi-episode arc in the show’s third season.

Not only that, the site reports that “there is a possibility for the guest stint to lead to a new spinoff.”

The Fire Country showrunner teases that the season 2 finale will serve as a "bookend" to certain elements that were introduced in the premiere. Although the finale will feature closure, she promises that it also sets up events to come. The season 2 finale is expected to feature fewer major twists than the season 1 finale, which could be for the best considering season 2's story thus far.

Fire Country showrunner Nia Napolitano teases what's to come from the impending season 2 finale. Created by Max Theiriot, Tony Phelan, and Joan Rater, Fire Country premiered on CBS in 2022 with a story that follows convict Bode (Thieriot) as he joins the Cal Fire team to help shorten his sentence. After returning for season 2 earlier this year, the drama is now in the midst of its 10-episode sophomore outing, with the finale not set to be released until next month.

One thing is clear on Fire Country: There will always be love between Bode (Max Thieriot) and Gabriela (Stephanie Arcila). But right now, she’s planning to marry someone else, and Bode spent a significant amount of time with Diego (Rafael De La Fuente) while the paramedic tried to save Cara‘s (Sabina Gadecki) life in the fifth episode of the season. But could Bode actually stand back and watch Gabriela marry someone else? “We’re going to find out, I’ll tell you that,” Thieriot tells TV Insider. “It’s like his heart is split, right? One part of his heart really just wants the best for her. And after this experience in Episode 5, he really believes that Diego is a great person for her to be with. But then I think the other side of his heart is breaking into a million pieces because he believes that she is his person.

Cara's (Sabina Gadecki) death will be a driving force for Fire Country for the remainder of Season 2. Her death leaves a void in several characters' lives, something that will inform their behavior and actions going forward. Everyone will certainly have a different reaction, with each valid, but that also presents issues with how they interact with themselves and others. Jake (Jordan Calloway) is one of those who was closest to Cara, and her death will affect him more than most characters, as we see in a new exclusive-to-Collider clip from Episode 6.

Fire Country Season 2, Episode 5 featured one of the saddest deaths this season. Cara (Sabina Gadecki) died from the injuries sustained during the ambulance crash, leaving her daughter Genevieve (Alix West Lefler) and her boyfriend Jake. Jordan Calloway talked to TV Line about this death and teased what it will mean for Bode (Max Thieriot) and Jake's relationship from now on. From Season 1, Bode and Jake had a rocky relationship and were at loggerheads most of it. After Jake was accused of being a firebug, he opened up to Bode, and they mended their relationship, However, the latest tragedy threatens to tear apart this fickle friendship.

Fire Country is once again grieving a major loss following Cara’s (Sabina Gadecki) death as a result of the injuries she sustained during the fire tornado. “It’s an emotional rollercoaster. I think everyone’s relationships will be tested,” executive producer Tia Napolitano tells TV Insider of Edgewater and any potential character or relationship breakdowns going forward. “Everyone’s emotional state will be tested. With the opening episodes of Fire Country Season 2, the character of Cara, portrayed by Sabina Gadecki, quickly emerged as a new fan favorite.

With her daughter's father behind bars and a new love emerging as the father figure her daughter deserves, Cara was in difficult terrain and often uncertain of the right path. But her devotion to Genevieve was never in question.

In Friday’s episode dubbed “This Storm Will Pass,” the Edgewater firefighters encounter their first firenado that ends up taking the life of someone very close to the team.

Here, showrunner Tia Napolitano and executive producers Joan Rater and Tony Phelan explain why it made sense to say goodbye to a character who was first introduced in season one, and how the Cal Fire team — especially Bode (Max Thieriot) — will respond going forward.

Deadline: So was this your first firenado?

Joan Rater: Yes, we’re firenado virgins?

Tia Napolitano: We ask all the writers to come in with the most interesting incidents, big or small, at the top of the season. Someone pitched a firenado. Obviously that’s on the big end of the spectrum and we all gravitated toward it really early.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Fire Country Season 2 Episode 5 “This Storm Will Pass.”] For Jake (Jordan Calloway), the latest Fire Country does start with something that makes us laugh: He spills about Genevieve possibly being Bode’s (Max Thieriot) daughter to Vince (Billy Burke), Sharon (Diane Farr), and Gabriela (Stephanie Arcila)—a.k.a. Bode’s father, mother, and ex-girlfriend—because he needs someone to know as a fire tornado rages around them. But then it all takes a turn, when it becomes clear that Jake’s girlfriend Cara (Sabina Gadecki)—he was thinking of proposing!—is dying of injuries sustained in the ambulance crash at the end of the previous episode. All Jake can do is say goodbye to her over the radio (“I was a different person before we fell in love. … I was going to tell you thank you for loving me. I love you. I will always love you.”). When we last saw Bode Leone, he was in the back of an ambulance pleading his case to Cara.

And because this show never passes up an opportunity to escalate the drama, seconds later, said ambulance was thrown off the road by a falling tree.

Toss in the fact that Gabi’s fiance — and Bode’s romantic rival — Diego was behind the wheel, and it might have been the biggest cliffhanger in Fire Country history.

Thankfully, Fire Country Season 2 Episode 5 didn't do the thing where it opens on some unrelated storyline and forces us to wait to find out what happened, or the equally annoying thing where the important characters are already laid up, recovering, and swapping war stories in the opening scene.

No, true to form, the writers plunge us right into the thick of the emergency, with Bode, Cara, and Diego fighting for their lives in a mangled and stranded ambulance.

After cooling its heels for two weeks, CBS’ Fire Country is “back with a bang!” this Friday, showrunner Tia Napolitano avows.

“We had a bit of a midseason break” due to CBS’ March Madness coverage, Napolitano notes, “and we always knew that when we came back for the second half of this very tiny [10-episode] season, we had an opportunity to go big.”

Just when we thought we couldn’t love Vince (Billy Burke) and Sharon (Diane Farr) any more than we already do, Fire Country gives us the two in danger and one of them saying something that needed to be said, as seen in TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the April 5 episode. While taking cover under the fire engine during an extremely rare and dangerous fire tornado in “This Storm Will Pass,” Vince remarks it’s “something to tell the grandkid,” suggesting that he and Sharon somehow found out that Cara’s (Sabina Gadecki) daughter Genevieve (Alix West Lefler) may be Bode’s (Max Thieriot). “You really think we’re going to get to tell her anything?” Sharon asks. He tries to think positively, but she insists, “if this is all the time that we get… I spent so much of our marriage chasing after Bode and lately chasing myself,...

Fire Country viewers will have to wait a while to learn what happened to Bode (Max Thieriot).

It’s frustrating for Fire Country fans to have the show be Mia again after only one new episode aired in March.

Season 2 of Fire County has only had four new episodes air so far.

The reason for that, of course, was because of the Writers Strike and the SAG/AFTRA strike pushing the 2023/2024 TV season into early 2024.

While many people thought TV shows would run all-new episodes until May because of the delay that is not the case.

At least this preemption for Fire Country is for a good reason, as opposed to CBS simply airing a repeat of the show.

Why isn’t Fire Country on tonight?

Fire Country isn’t on tonight because of March Madness. That’s right, it’s the time of year again when CBS becomes all about college basketball.

CBS’s Fire Country is taking a two-week break and will return for season two episode four on Friday, March 15, 2024 at 9pm. Episode four, “Too Many Unknowns,” was directed by Nicole Rubio from a script by Barbara Kaye Friend.

Dynasty actor Rafael de la Fuente joins Fire Country season 2 as Diego, a charming paramedic and firefighter. Diego will train Gabriela for her paramedic certification, and they will hit it off, potentially causing concern for Bode. The new cast addition could bring trouble for Bode and Gabriela, adding to the show's drama.

Fire Country season 2 introduces a big new casting, which could spell trouble for Bode and Gabriella. Debuting in October 2022 on CBS, and co-created by the trio of Max Thieriot, Tony Phelan, and Joan Rater, Fire Country focuses on Bode Donovan (Thieriot), a convict with a troubled past. To redeem himself and shorten his prison sentence, he volunteers for Cal Fire. Along with former friends, fellow inmates, and elite firefighters, Bode has to help with putting out the fires that plague the region. Throughout the show, he grows closer to Gabriela (played by Stephanie Arcila), but their bond is tested in the season 1 finale.

Deep in the woods of Willits, Northern California lives a pot grower by the name of Brock (Bill Sage) and his wife Peggy (Sabina Gadecki). They are being visited by the young Courtney (Anastasia Baranova) for a while and not only that, but they are being visited quite often by those evil little grey bastards from space. Either that or Brock is growing some pretty potent shit. Things become complicated when a group of young campers decide to pitch up in the dense forest. A fully restored 30-minute film of The Beatles’ famous Shea Stadium concert on August 15 1965 will accompany the theatrical release of Ron Howard’s authorised documentary, The Beatles: Eight Days A Week – The Touring Years.

Apple Corps Ltd., White Horse Pictures and Imagine Entertainment produced the documentary, which Richard Abramowitz’s Abramorama will release theatrically on September 15, and unveiled a new trailer this week.

The film marks the first acquisition for presenting partner Hulu’s Hulu Documentary Films arm, which begins exclusive streaming on September 17. However the bonus concert documentary will only appear in theatres.
