- Is a maternal illegitimate descendant of the Royal Branch of Clan Stewart, the same whose Chief was once Mary I Stuart, Queen of Scotland, Head of the Church of Scotland, whom she played on "Reign".
- She is an avid comic book reader and has stated that her all time favorites are Sin City, Watchmen, Fables, Sandman, Preacher, The Boys, Chew, House of Mysteries, Swamp Thing, Grimm Fairy Tales and American Vampire. - She's a fan of the shows "Firefly", "House of Cards" and "Archer". She's also a fan of "Game of Thrones", "Charmed", "Invader Zim" and "Adventure Time".
- Flown over to test for Cartoon Network's first live action series, Unnatural History (2010), for the role of "Maggie Winnock". There were two actresses selected to test, Adelaide Kane and Italia Ricci. The role later went to Italia.
- Kane is a Sept of Scottish Clan MacMillan.
