End of Watch was a gritty and realistic cop thriller that became a critical and box office hit when it was released in 2012. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal as Brian Taylor and Michael Peña as Mike Zavala, the film features the two LAPD partners as they work in South Central Los Angeles. Written and directed by David Ayer, the movie really shows the bond between the two young officers. It's now getting a second life on Max where it sits at number five in the top 10 and even climbed as high as the number two spot.
The movie follows Taylor and Peña as they perform their duties and things take a turn when a cartel targets them. Ayer grew up in South Central L.A. and has written several films about corrupt officers working at the LAPD. But for End of Watch, he wanted to showcase two honest and dedicated officers. Ahead of its 2012 release,...

Vince Vaughn was once the torchbearer for rapid-fire, coked-up shenanigans. His high, gravelly laugh is probably ringing in your head right now. But after his run of over-quoted crass comedies of the aughts, Vaughn took a very laudable swing at serious acting roles in the True Detective series, Brawl in Cell Block 99, and Hacksaw Ridge. His latest project, the crime comedy Bad Monkey for Apple TV+ has just been renewed for a second season.

Apple TV+ has given a Season 2 renewal to breakout comedy Bad Monkey, from developer, executive producer and showrunner Bill Lawrence, star/executive producer Vince Vaughn and Warner Bros. Television where Lawrence is based.
The pickup comes more than a month after the Season 1 finale of Bad Monkey was released. I hear the delay was largely due to logistics related to relocation. In a rare good news for California production amid the recent exodus, Bad Monkey will be moving from Miami and the Florida Keys to the Los Angeles area in Season 2, sources tell Deadline. I hear the move was important to LA-based Vaughn, and the crew also faced a lot of weather-related challenges while filming Season 1. To do it, the series was awarded a $20M tax credit from California.

One of Jason Stathams most underrated action films, Death Race, is coming to streaming in time for the holiday season. So fasten your seat belt and grab your helmet because this car has no protection whatsoever, and Statham doesnt usually use the brakes. The Paul W.S. If you’re anything like this TV Fanatic, you likely asked yourself, “How could a long-standing franchise like NCIS possibly go back in time? What is there left to tell in NCIS: Origins?”
The answer is an astounding amount! I was not prepared for that deep dive into the past. This show wasted no time jumping right into a case of love and drugs.
NCIS: Origins takes audiences into a past that feels as real and relevant as any story told in modern-day settings. The series boasts a cast as talented as they are young and attractive.
(Sonja Flemming/CBS)
Despite the cookie-cutter procedural format, CBS’s NCIS: Origins has complex characters and an intricate story that speaks to the years of fantastic writing and plotting the franchise is known for.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Bad Monkey season 1, episode 10, "We're in the Memory-Making Business."With Bad Monkey season 1 now over, a potential second season has an issue to fix with Rosa after her final appearance in the inaugural run of Apple TV+'s dark dramedy. Natalie Martinez's part in the Bad Monkey season 1 cast was vital, as she played pretty much the only character who stood by Vince Vaughn's Andrew Yancy throughout the story. Unfortunately, Bad Monkey season 1's ending creates a difficult obstacle for her eventual comeback should the show be picked up for a second run of episodes.
Despite being only partially set in the Sunshine State, Bad Monkey season 1 was shot entirely in Florida - even the scenes that took place in the Bahamas. Like Yancy, Martinez's Rosa Campeseno went international when the story took her between the US and Andros Island. Although Bad Monkey...

Spoiler Alert: The following interview contains spoilers from “We’re in the Memory-Making Business,” the season finale of “Bad Monkey” now streaming on Apple TV+.
The case is closed on the first season of Apple TV+’s series “Bad Monkey,” the Florida Keys-set comedic crime series based on the Carl Hiaasen novel of the same name. And while more than a few characters didn’t make it out alive, the good guys prevailed.
Among the victors was suspended detective-turned-health inspector Andrew Yancy (Vince Vaughn), who, as he sat looking out at the ocean during the season’s final moments, seemed to have found a sense of peace — even if he was still suspended, and his romance with Dr. Rosa Campesino (Natalie Martinez) didn’t fall into place as he would have liked.

[Editor’s note: The following interview contains spoilers for Season 1 of “Bad Monkey,” including its ending.]
The finale of Apple TV+’s “Bad Monkey” kicked off with a shock: The Dragon Queen is dead. The opening moments showed the rest of last week’s confrontation between Gracie (Jodie Turner-Smith) and Eve (Meredith Hagner), with Eve shoving her, and a tree branch piercing through her chest, killing her.
“The Dragon Queen was a much different character in the book,” show writer and executive producer Matt Tarses explained to IndieWire. “She was an old woman and she was sort of pretty much evil;, didn’t have any redemptive qualities. And so early on, we wanted to make that character more nuanced. We made her younger, we gave her this kind of consciousness of a grandmother, in Ya-Ya. I love that character, and I love what Jodie Turner-Smith did with that stuff.”
