Since Stereo Kicks announced a week ago that they were calling it a day, people have been lining up to stick the boot in.
But I've always had a soft spot for the unwieldy eight-piece. Always the underdogs, they had to deal with everything from Lee Nelson to Louis Walsh.
Ahead of the band's last ever show at Thorpe Park today (July 25), we caught up with James Graham to talk about the rise and fall of Stereo Kicks.
How does it feel that Stereo Kicks has come to an end?
"We've known it for obviously longer than it's been announced for. We've been trying to come to terms with it but it's such a difficult thing. It's been a year of all eight of our lives. We've spent pretty much every single day together.
"For that to be coming to an end, we're all absolutely gutted. It's an emotional subject,...

Memo to self: Never take FIFA President Sepp Blatter to a strip club as he is obviously not a fan of making it rain. The outgoing exec held his first press conference in Zurich this morning since he announced last month he would be leaving (or did he?) his post as the top dog in charge of soccer's largest governing body amid a growing corruption scandal, where one of the topics of discussion was setting a date for a new FIFA presidential election. Tweeting a joke that he was on his way to the FIFA executive meeting to secure the 2026 World Cup for North Korea, comedian Simon Brodkin, also known as Lee Nelson, ran up to the stage where Blatter was sitting and showered him with a big wad of fake...

The BBC is defending itself after receiving complaints over Kanye West's headline performance at Glastonbury.
The 'All Day' rapper's Pyramid Stage show was broadcast live on Saturday (June 27), with advance warning that the set "may contain strong language".
However, the broadcaster confirmed that complaints had been received from "some viewers who were unhappy with some of the language used by Kanye West during his headline set".
In its official response, the BBC reiterated that advance warning had been given ahead of the live broadcast, which began after 10pm.
"The performance was broadcast after the watershed and clear warning notices were given that it may contain strong language - both at the start of the show and again, with a caption placed on screen just as Kanye's act started," the corporation stated.

The BBC's attempts to censor Kanye West through the medium of subtitles proved to be a highlight of Glastonbury 2015.
The broadcaster decided not to censor the rapper's performance like ITV did at the Brit Awards in February, but it did alter the spellings of his more explicit lyrics to make them less controversial.
Consequently, one of West's lyrics read: "We ain't got nothing to lose motherducker, we rollin'."
Later, it appeared as if the BBC's subtitling team had grown tired of trying to censor West as one message simply read: "He raps."

Kanye West just got a dose of his own Vma medicine when a known stage invader did his thing during a concert. Kanye was performing in Glastonbury, England when Lee Nelson danced center stage. Kanye kind of gave a 'Wtf' gesture to his security, who promptly ramrodded the guy off stage. As far as we know, Nelson was not arrested. Nelson has crashed other big shows as well, including the 2014 "X Factor" live shows. Nelson didn't let it go,...

A dose of his own medicine! Kanye West is known for his stage-crashing antics, but on Saturday, June 27 at the Glastonbury Festival, the Grammy-winning rapper, 38, was the one who got an unwelcome on-stage guest. British comedian Simon Brodkin, who plays the character Lee Nelson, ran on stage as West was performing his hit "Black Skinhead." Kim Kardashian's husband briefly stopped rapping as Brodkin was escorted off the stage by a security guard. West then restarted the song and finished his set. This could be considered payback [...]...

But after just a few songs, Kim Kardashian's husband got a surprise when a fan stormed the stage with little to no warning. Two Overs in The X Factor Grand Finale. Who'd-a-thunk it?
Fleur East and Ben Haenow have beaten off Jack Walton, Stereo Kicks and Stevi Ritchie (oh, behave!) to make it to Wembley tonight.
And although we won't be seeing Andi Peters at the CD printing press (more for shame), we can expect more Louis Walsh, celebratory sausages and One Direction.
Crack out the eggnog and join Digital Spy as we await the news of whether Fleur or Ben will follow the illustrious steps of Shayne Ward, Steve Brookstein and Leon Jackson to take The X Factor crown.
Even more exciting than that, we're also hoping for an update on whether Labrinth ever had his wisdom teeth out...

Dermot O'Leary found himself in the middle of a nudity mishap on The Xtra Factor on Sunday (November 23).
The X Factor host was taking part in a routine Skype chat segment with Sarah-Jane Crawford for the ITV2 spinoff show when the incident occurred.
During the Skype call, a viewer named Lara from London asked O'Leary to name his favourite X Factor acts from over the years.
As O'Leary was answering the question, a woman appearing to be topless entered Lara's room. The woman was covering her chest during her brief time on camera.
It is unclear whether the incident was an accident or was staged by the caller and the topless, unidentified woman.
O'Leary treated the situation with humour as cameras cut back to the Xtra Factor studio, saying: "You'll have to forgive me, you sort of broke up there. Can we go back to Lara?"
He then quipped: "Can we do this every week?...

A stage invasion took place during tonight's live X Factor show (November 8).
As Stereo Kicks performed their rendition of Michael Jackson's 'You Are Not Alone', Lee Nelson - the alter-ego of comedian Simon Brodkin - ran onto the stage before being escorted off.
All four judges praised the band for their professionalism during the incident, with Simon Cowell joking that Louis Walsh had added yet another member to the eight-piece group.
Mel B then revealed that Cheryl Fernandez-Versini originally thought the invader was Take That's Mark Owen.
An official spokesperson for The X Factor told Digital Spy: "During Stereo Kicks' performance this evening, there was a brief disturbance on stage, which was immediately dealt with by security. The performance continued as planned."
Nelson ultimately took responsibility for the prank in a series of Twitter messages, writing: "There are so many of them I thought anyone could have a go.

Frank commented: ''It did make me feel like going out and learning to tap dance - it was right up my 42nd street as they say.'' Elsewhere on the live final, The Soap Stars - made up of Ricky...

Review Ryan Lambie 26 Feb 2013 - 10:19
The current series of Black Mirror comes to a close with The Waldo Moment. Here's Ryan's spoiler-filled review of episode three...
Warning: the following contains paragraphs of a spoiler-filled nature. Reader discretion advised.
After the understated melancholy of Be Right Back, and the aggressive aural assault of White Bear, we were wondering where the third and final Black Mirror episode might take us. Somewhere in the middle is the answer, with a dystopian political satire told with bleak humour, yet lacking either the emotional tug of the first episode, or the second's palpable sense of outrage.
The Waldo Moment begins with two intertwining stories. In one, we meet Gwendolyn Harris (Chloe Pirrie), a young woman on the cusp of a new career in politics, having scraped into the role of a local Labour MP in spite of a less than stellar job interview ("I...

Comedian Lee Nelson was arrested after a DVD stunt involving a fake policeman backfired. Simon Brodkin, in character as Lee Nelson, was being chased by an actor in a police uniform after pretending to steal a copy of his DVD from an HMV store in London. A real police community support officer who was passing by mistook the scene for a real crime and proceeded to arrest Brodkin. The scene spilled outside of the shop and even caused traffic to grind to a halt in Oxford Street. After a brief scuffle, the comedian was escorted back into the shop and forced onto the ground. A spokesperson for Brodkin said: "He was doing a signing for his (more)...

We all know that we Brits love a good deal – you only have to look at our seemingly unquenchable love for all things Groupon or our addiction to a TV show where a bearded millionaire conducts imaginary conversations about empty boxes to realise that. So what if I told you you could buy yourself six full seasons of the greatest sitcom ever made for under eighteen quid? I think I already know the answer when I ask (with a respectful tip of the cap to Entourage’s Bob Ryan) – is that something you might be interested in?
Trailer Park Boys is set, as the name suggests, in a run-down trailer park in Halifax, Canada. Shot in a faux-documentary style (this was before The Office made it ubiquitous) the show follows the exploits of the inhabitants of Sunnyvale Trailer Park and their various misadventures.

A certain kind of music festival has emerged in recent years. In the mid-nineties, the festival scene was stagnating: Glastonbury was a ticketless free-for-all, V was a soulless corporate cash-in and Reading was where teenagers set portaloos on fire. Sensing a gap in the market, some enterprising sorts started up what became known as the ’boutique festival’ – multi-arts, small but perfectly formed, family friendly, an uber-relaxed atmosphere and an often grand country setting. Positioning itself as the ‘original boutique festival’ is the Big Chill, now in its seventeenth year and a veteran on the festival calendar. This is a festival which does exactly what is says on the tin, promising a weekend of extreme relaxation with a blissfully mellow soundtrack in a beautiful setting. Nestled in an idyllic Herefordshire valley, the beautiful site – home to the festival since 2002 – is a working deer reserve year-round, the private grounds of nearby Eastnor Castle,...

Comedy star Lee Nelson and his best pal Omelette took to the stage on tonight’s Let’s Dance For Comic Relief.
Lee is of course a character created by comedian Simon Brodkin. The BBC Three comedy show Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show centres around the happy go-lucky chavvy Londoner.
Tonight Lee and Omelette danced to Club Tropicana and after seeing Nelson’s tight white speedos’ we wanted to scratch out our eyes! Though we did further inspect the sight and either those trunks were stuffed or Lee is boasting quite a package!
There wasn’t a whole lot of rhythm during the performance but between Lee, Omelette and the scantily clad backing dancers there was a lot of gyrating and ogling!
John Bishop laughed: “I thought Omlette you’ve done well for the fashion industry to show that stripes do make you look thinner. And they way you performed was superb.

Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show starts on BBC3 tonight. But is Simon Brodkin’s modestly titled show actually any good? Lee Nelson, Simon Brodkin’s comic alter-ego, is a cheeky Saaath Laaandon scamp, a pwopah geezer who tries to replicate the cringe-worthy success of Sacha Bohen Coren’s Ali G incarnation, but fails so miserably that his Well Good Comedy could feasibly be employed as an alternative to water-boarding.
