The series had a total of eight episodes, and it was well-received by fans and critics. Created by Charley and Vlas Parlapanides, the series was produced by Powerhouse Animation Studios with the animation outsourced to South Korean studios Mua Film and Hanho Heung-Up. The series was quickly renewed for a second season in December 2020, but it took a total of four years for the series to return, as Netflix finally confirmed that the second season will premiere on May 9, 2024.

Bob Lee Swagger remains one of the most badass television characters ever.
The USA Network series, Shooter, was one of the finest, coming at a time when the cable network ran supreme with endless content for everyone's viewing.
With slick action sequences, subterfuge, and adrenaline-pumping thrills, the series, more often than not, was a must-see summer show for three seasons until its unfortunate cancellation.
TV Fanatic followed along with the journey from beginning to end with full coverage in our Shooter Reviews. It is still a perfectly binge-able series that you can stream on Netflix, at least until June 21, when Netflix loses the rights for it.
It bolstered an impressive cast led by none other than Ryan Phillippe. But where is the cast now? Let's find out!
Jaina Lee Ortiz - Angela Tio
Ortiz had a small arc during Shooter Season 2, guest-starring as Angela Tio, a sergeant Bob Lee served with during the Marines.

Exclusive: Fox is moving past The Last Police. Deadline understands that the network has passed on the Kyle Killen pilot.
Based on Ben Winters’ sci-fi mystery novel The Last Policeman, the network ordered the pilot in July. It was written, directed and exec produced by the Lone Star and Awake creator via his Chapter Eleven production banner and came after he struck a direct, exclusive, broadcast-only talent deal with Fox in 2020.
The Last Police follows a small-town police detective, who, as an asteroid races toward an apocalyptic collision with Earth, believes she’s been chosen to save humanity, while her cynical partner can’t decide what he’ll enjoy more: her delusional failure, or the end of the world itself.
Blu Hunt (The New Mutants) and Reno Wilson (Good Girls) played the leads; Hunt was Detective MacKenzie Ward, a sharp young police detective who believes she was chosen for a...

I don’t play video game so I am only peripherally familiar with Injustice, an Imaginary Story featuring the DC Universe. Similarly, I didn’t read the Injustice: Gods Among Us prequel comic book that apparently sold well enough to inspire Warner Animation to invest precious time and resources in adapting it to film. The resulting product, out now from Warner Home Entertainment, is an acquired taste.

Taylor Kitsch used to like the Friday Night Lights. Now that he’s older, things have changed, and he needs his rest before work. That’s particularly a problem when some friends that won’t leave come to visit.
Kitsch, who played Tim Riggins in Friday Night Lights and has starred in X-men Origins: Wolverine, Waco and HBO’s True Detective, posted to Instagram today about his problem with the Los Angeles rock band Dirty Honey.
Enlisting his Friday Night Lights bud Derek Phillips, a haggard Kitsch shows what happens when the pandemic quarantine gets out of hand and causes some musicians to go a bit stir-crazy.

Many properties across all media look to Greek mythology for story inspiration. It’s territory that’s been explored from nearly every angle at this point. What makes Blood of Zeus feel exciting rather than regressive is that it presupposes that its story is a lost chapter of Greek mythology. It tells the saga of Heron, a warrior who learns that he’s a rejected offspring of Zeus and must become ready to confront his past in an effort to change everyone else’s future. Heron’s original story allows the series to feature many notable Gods and figures, but it’s not restrained to any set narrative or endpoint. Netflix has unveiled the trailer for “Blood of Zeus,” a new anime original from the studio behind the streaming service’s popular “Castlevania” animated series.
Per Netflix, the show’s synopsis reads: “In a brewing war between the gods of Olympus and the titans, Heron, a commoner living on the outskirts of ancient Greece, becomes mankind’s best hope of surviving an evil demon army, when he discovers the secrets of his past.”
The first half of the trailer is heavy on exposition — an ancient war, an encroaching demon army, a quest for a dead giant’s remains — while its latter half is full of impressively stylized action sequences. The show’s voice cast includes Jason O’Mara, Derek Phillips, Mamie Gummer, Claudia Christian, Elias Toufexias, Melina Kanakeredes, Jessica Henwick, and Chris Diamantopoulos.

Friday Night Lights cast members Adrianne Palicki (Tyra Collette), Taylor Kitsch (Tim Riggins), Derek Phillips (Billy Riggins) and Stacey Oristano (Mindy Collette/Mindy Riggins) reunited virtually Friday for an Atx Television Festival panel to kick off the event’s remote 2020 edition.
The four reminisced about some of their most memorable moments during the series. Palicki and Oristano noted one of their favorite places to shoot was the Collette house. “That’s the place where Derek ate crawfish and kissed me and I had an allergic reaction..- he got it all over his beard and then he kissed me and my face was like…” Oristano said.
They also imagined what their characters would have been doing during a Covid quarantine. “I think they would all be together,” said Kitsch. “We would murder each other!,” Oristano exclaimed.
“Obviously Tyra and Tim are married with five children, probably divorced like twice,” said Palicki.

The Amazon horror anthology “Them” is building out its main cast.
Variety has learned exclusively that seven new cast members have been added to the first season of the series, which is titled “Them: Covenant.” Shahadi Wright Joseph, Alison Pill, Ryan Kwanten, Melody Hurd, Javier Botet, and Percy Hynes White have all been cast as series regulars, while Derek Phillips has been cast in a recurring role. They join previously announced leads Deborah Ayorinde and Ashley Thomas.
“Them: Covenant” is set in 1953 and centers on Henry and Lucky Emory (Ayorinde and Thomas), who decide to move their family from North Carolina to an all-white Los Angeles neighborhood. The family’s home on a tree-lined, seemingly idyllic street becomes ground zero where malevolent forces both real and supernatural threaten to taunt, ravage and destroy them.
Joseph had a breakout year in 2019, starring in both Jordan Peele’s “Us” and the remake of “The Lion King.

Netflix has got another original anime series project brewing. It’s called Gods and Heroes and it’s inspired by the stories of Greek mythology. I love Greek mythology, so a series like this is very appealing to me.
The series “tells the story of a young man who, cast aside by his people, learns that he is the illegitimate son of Zeus. He alone can save both Heaven and Earth but to do so he must survive the vengeful wrath of a goddess who wants him dead and the monstrous forces of evil she aligns against him.”
Gods and Heroes is being developed by the animation studio behind the Castlevania anime series, and it was created by Charley and Vlas Parlapanides, who are the writers behind Netflix’s live-action Death Note film. Here’s what they had to say in a statement:

Clear eyes, full hearts … Taylor Kitsch? At least that's what the ladies of Friday Night Lights said at this weekend's Atx Television Festival in Austin during a cast reunion commemorating the 10th anniversary of the pilot episode. The actresses who played the Collette sisters on the beloved show reminisced on their good times on set with Kitsch, a.k.a. Texan heartthrob Tim Riggins. "Taylor Kitsch and I got in the most trouble together," Stacey Oristano, 36, told People of the biggest mischief-maker on set. "We just ended up making up this game where all we would try to do was make each other laugh.

No one will accuse NBC’s new revenge thriller, Game of Silence (premiering Tuesday at 10/9c, before settling into a Thursday timeslot), of being subtle.

Texas forever, indeed! Scott Porter (a.k.a Jason Street) introduced his baby boy, McCoy, to two members of his "Friday Night Lights" family on Tuesday: Matt Lauria (Luke Cafferty) and Gaius Charles (Brian "Smash" Williams). "Good friends...livin' large in Texas"...and babies. #TexasForever@MattLauria @GaiusCharles," the proud papa captioned the picture on Instagram. Porter's wife, Kelsey Mayfield, gave birth to their son after a whopping 44-hour labor. He was 8 lbs., 5 oz. and 20.5 inches long. Judging by this photo, this little one seems to have already charmed his dad's famous friends! Porter talked about his former costars at this year's Comic-Con, saying, "It's all about finding the moments when you can catch up with people.
