The film is the sequel to Now You See Me (2013) and Now You See Me 2 (2016). The first film grossed $351.7 million at the global box office, and the second movie brought in $334.9 million.

In the sequel, directed by Ruben Fleischer, the Four Horsemen return along with a new generation of illusionists performing mind-melding twists, turns, surprises, and magic unlike anything ever captured on film.

The cast includes Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, and Ariana Greenblatt, with Rosamund Pike and Morgan Freeman.

During their panel at the CinemaCon event at the start of this month, Lionsgate showed attendees a trailer for the third film in the Now You See Me franchise, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t, which is scheduled to reach theatres on November 14th. Exclusive: Lionsgate has unveiled the Emirati capital of Abu Dhabi as a key shooting location for Now You See Me Now You Don’t.

The third instalment of the Now You See Me franchise sees Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco reprise their roles as magicians-turned-master thieves, with support from Isla Fisher, Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, Rosamund Pike, and Morgan Freeman.

Little has been unveiled about the plot although the Abu Dhabi backdrop was teased briefly in a trailer reveal at CinemaCon earlier this month.

Singer/actress Sza (Solána Imani Row) recently appeared as Catwoman in State Farm's "Batman vs. Bateman" commercial, and the One of The Days star has now set her sights on another comic book character - and she is certainly aiming high.

Sza appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and threw her hat in the ring to play one of the most powerful superheroes in Marvel Comics, the X-Men's Ororo Munroe, aka Storm.

"I would love to be a superhero," Sza said when asked if there might be a Marvel or DC role in her future. "[Storm] comes from this whole other place where it's the jungle ... So, I think that would be so gnarly if I could be Storm's origin story."

Official updates on Marvel's plans for the X-Men have been few and far between since Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox, and rumor has it that this is simply down to the studio playing the waiting game.

Apparently, if Marvel wanted to reboot the team using any of the same characters from Fox's franchise before 2025, the likes of Simon Kinberg, Bryan Singer and co. would be, at minimum, entitled to credits and compensation, and may even have some degree of creative control as well.

Back in September 2023, Deadline reported that Marvel Studios would start hearing pitches for the X-Men movie later that fall and planned to select a writer in early 2024. In May 2024, another Deadline report said Michael Lesslie was in talks to write the script.

A couple of months later, in July, Kevin Feige spoke with Gizmodo and mentioned that the movie would feature a mix of returning characters and fresh faces, adding that he was excited to bring the “soap opera” aspects of the X-Men into the MCU.

Earlier today, we got word that Marvel Studios had shelved (or at least paused development on) three planned Disney+ shows: Nova, Terror Inc., and Strange Academy.

Marvel is said to have "shifted its priorities," and we're hearing that one of the projects the studio may now be focusing on involves a very different type of academy.

During this week's episode of The Hot Mic, Jeff Sneider mentions that a source told him that an "X Academy" series is in the early planning stages.

In the comics, the Academy X students debuted in the pages of New X-Men #23, and were basically introduced as yet another incarnation of the New Mutants (students that would eventually work their way up to the main roster). The original line-up consisted of Anole, Armor, the Cuckoo Triplets, Dust, Elixir, Prodigy, Pixie, and Rockslide.

The X-Men rumors continue to swirl, and we can now add another name to the list of potential actors Marvel Studios is said to be looking at to fill out the McU's roster of mutant heroes.

Though we don't have a specific character for this one, The Hot Mic's Jeff Sneider has heard that House of the Dragon star Tom Glynn-Carney is someone the studio "likes" for an undisclosed role.

Apparently, Glynn-Carney - who plays King Aegon Targaryen on HBO's Game of Thrones prequel series - took a meeting that "went well," but we don't have much more to go on for the time being.
