Iron Sky Universe seeking shareholders
Company behind high-concept genre franchise are raising equity crowdfunding via Finland’s Invesdor.

The film-makers behind genre hit Iron Sky are raising equity crowdfunding for Iron Sky Universe, the company which owns the franchise.

It marks the first time in film history where the audience has a chance to purchase shares directly for their favoured franchise. The funding will take place via the Finnish service Invesdor.com and investors will become full shareholders in the company with a minimum investment of €250.

Iron Sky Universe aims to make the Iron Sky franchise into a multi-channel sci-fi saga produced and distributed in co-operation with its audience.

Tero Kaukomaa, head of business of Iron Sky Universe, commented: “We managed to produce the first Iron Sky with a pure rage boosted by the help from our audience. Now the target is to build a sufficient organisation to execute our production and distribution strategy.”

The core team of Iron Sky Universe consists...

Iron Sky's Political Agendas: A Movie Review
*spoiler alert! Director: Timo Vuorensola. Writers: Johanna Sinisalo (original story), Jarmo Puskala, Michael Kalesniko, and Timo Vuorensola. Cast: Julia Dietze, Christopher Kirby and Götz Otto. Nazis have fled to space! Who would have thunk it? In the movie Iron Sky, the last remaining survivors from this regiment fled to the dark side of the moon and spent the last 70 or so years plotting to take over Earth again. But nobody told them that World War II is over and life has gone forwards ... or maybe not. But now they want to come back, with no thanks to astronaut James Washington (Christopher Kirby). He found their moon base and that does not bode well for humanity. When this space explorer gets captured, the Nazi's plans are accelerated. That leads to some humourous nods to B movie culture and retro-a-go-go. The music is what sells this product. The driving magic by Slovenian...

'Iron Sky' Gets in Motion
Motion posters are the latest cool gimmick in online film advertising and we've got one for you here that you might not have seen before. It is for an independent science fiction film, Iron Sky, that yours truly has been tracking for some time.

Iron Sky is being produced in Finland by Energia Productions. Energia was started by the makers of the Star Wreck series of Star Trek spoofs. The most recent such film, Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning, is reckoned to be Finland's most successful film because it has been legally downloaded from the Internet more than 8 million times. A special edition was recently released on DVD in Britain.

Energia's new film is a departure from the Star Wreck series. In the plot of Iron Sky it is 2018 and a group of Nazis that escaped to the Moon at the end of the Second World War are planning a triumphant return.

New Concept Art and Trailer for Nazi Space Epic ‘Iron Sky’
Blind Spot Pictures, the company behind the very interesting and potentially awesome space epic Iron Sky -- a story set in an alternate world in which the Nazi's set up a secret moon base in 1945 and plan to return and invade Earth again in 2018 -- have released a bunch of new materials this week, including several new posters, a bunch of images and a teaser trailer. Though I'm almost certain that the trailer has been out for a while. Either way, it strikes me as a wicked idea and from what I'm seeing, it looks like a very cool flick. First up is a bit of casting news. The project has signed on a few leads, including the previously reported hottie Julia Dietze. In an official release, Blind Spot Pictures has also made us aware that famous German actor Götz Otto will step in the boots of the intelligence officer Klaus Adler, a...
