Kit is an award-winning filmmaker who began her career working for the Rich Kids (Paul Goldman, Evan English) in Melbourne, making feature film style narrative 16mm music videos. In Sydney she worked on a number of 10BA Feature Films in production and assistant directing roles. She was the 3rd Assistant Director in Australia's first all-female AD team, together with Corrie Soerterboek and Adrienne Parr. Kit joined Meaningful Eye Contact (MEC) as production manager, then producer for Alex Proyas. As Associate Producer Kit secured theatrical release of MEC's feature film Spirits of the Air, Gremlins of the Clouds.
After many years working with American clients and budgets, Kit formed her own company, Taylor Bell, where she produced and directed music videos including co-productions with Medialab in London and Palomar Pictures in Los Angeles.
Notable productions on her list are John Hillcoat's "Chocolate Cake" five-week music video extravaganza in Melbourne for Crowded House, the Australian leg of the Lenny Kravitz Universal Love world tour, and Concrete Blondes "Bloodletting" in London.
Kit was recruited to set up the new media department at the Australian Children's Television Foundation. The Australian Film Television and Radio School invited her to design, deliver and lecture a short course for women filmmakers and she was invited by Ausmusic/Metro television to lecture at high schools in Sydney for the Roll Over Beethoven careers program.
Kit took a hiatus from film making to work in Indigenous Affairs culminating in her role in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet as Senior Adviser of the 500,000 sq km Pilbara region in Western Australia.
Since returning to Melbourne Kit has directed the video for El Duende's Tall Buildings, was Production Consultant of award-winning short film The Widow, pitched to the inaugural Unreal Engine/Epic Games competition and is writing The Pilbara
