Beverly Hills, 90210 Star Jennie Garth Regrets Joining The CW's Reboot
Image
After an initial run of 10 seasons, Beverly Hills, 90210 was given new life in the form of CW's 90210 reboot. While most of the original cast avoided appearing in the new incarnation, a few key cast members returned, reprising their original roles. Shannen Doherty, Tori Spelling, and Jennie Garth all signed on for the initial season of the reboot, but over the first two seasons, the characters disappeared on screen, with the series moving in a different direction. Unfortunately, the situation is not fondly remembered by Garth, who seemingly regrets her participation in 90210.

Garth recently reunited with several of her former co-stars for 90s Con in Daytona, having plenty to say about her time on the 90210 sequel series. According to People, despite Brian Austen Green acknowledging the concept of the series being something he likes, Garth couldn't help but express her desire to turn back the clock and...

While speaking with The Nerd Shepherd (via X) at the Heroes Dutch Comic Con in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Jones shared how he believed that there was still "a lot of room for growth with that character." He added, "I think I'm in a place professionally where I would like to continue to grow with that character." As for how he would like to see Iron Fist brought back, Jones agreed that a Heroes for Hire series featuring the character and Mike Colter's Luke Cage would be the best idea. The Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007) Revisited – Horror Movie Review
Image
The Hills Have Eyes 2. No, not that one. That’s The Hills Have Eyes Part 2 and has one of the greatest things ever filmed where a dog, an actual dog, has a flashback and its just, muah, chef’s kiss. While I actually think that original 1985 sequel is way too much fun for its own good – it was written and directed by Craven, brings back Michael Berryman, has Harry Manfredini give us the score, and oh yeah, has a dog flashback. A Dog, Flashback – I’m not here to talk about that one that is probably so bad it’s good. I’m here to discuss the true black sheep of this inbred mountain family and give you all a look at the movie that is not a remake of the sequel but rather a sequel to the remake. The Hills Have Eyes 2 (watch it Here) is a...

The MCU Can't Keep Repeating The Same Story With Its Street-Level Heroes
Image
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has repeated a couple of stories with various characters, but it can’t keep repeating one particularly tragic one with its street-level heroes. As the MCU continues to expand and explores its multiverse, more characters are being introduced and brought back, which is great news for the street-level heroes that led their own TV shows over at Netflix a couple of years ago. The first one to become an official part of the MCU was Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox), who made a surprise appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home and is now preparing for his solo TV series, Daredevil: Born Again.

Joining Daredevil in his new TV series will be Frank Castle a.k.a. The Punisher (Jon Bernthal), and his return has given even more hope for the appearances of the rest of the street-level heroes from Netflix’s Marvel shows: Luke Cage (Mike Colter...

Iron Fist Actor Has A Passionate Goal For Returning To The MCU
Image
Netflix's Iron Fist star Finn Jones is keen to return as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Danny Rand for one reason. Based on the comic book character created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, Iron Fist was the fourth Marvel series developed for Netflix which ultimately led to The Defenders crossover event. First released in March 2017, Iron Fist season 1 was savaged by critics and quickly earned itself a reputation as the weakest of the Marvel Netflix series which also included Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage. While Iron Fist season 2 would ultimately fare much better with critics, the show was canceled in October 2018 and was shortly followed by each of Netflix’s fellow Marvel shows.

Jones’ The Defenders co-star Charlie Cox is currently preparing to headline his own return to the role of Matt Murdock Aka Daredevil in a new series revival on Disney+. While it is not yet...

Finn Jones in Iron Fist (2017)
‘Iron Fist’ Canceled by Netflix After Two Seasons, Proving He Isn’t Immortal After All
Finn Jones in Iron Fist (2017)
It turns out the Iron Fist isn’t so immortal after all. Marvel and Netflix have announced that the maligned superhero drama, which courted a whitewashing controversy prior to airing and has received generally negative reviews throughout its run, has been canceled after two seasons.

Finn Jones played the title character, who also appeared in the crossover drama “Defenders” — a kind of small-screen “Avengers” that saw the Iron Fist team up Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Daredevil (Charlie Cox), and Luke Cage (Mike Colter).

“‘Marvel’s Iron Fist’ will not return for a third season on Netflix,” Marvel and Netflix said in a statement. “Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and showrunners. We’re thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we’ve shared on this series.

Marvel's Iron Fist: Cancelled; No Season Three on Netflix but May "Live On"
Danny Rand must unclench his hands -- at least for now. Marvel's Iron Fist TV show has been cancelled by Netflix. Although there will be no third season on the streaming service, there exists the possibility that it could return someday, perhaps to Disney's own streaming platform, which they plan to launch next year. Disney, of course, is the parent-company of Marvel.

A Netflix martial arts superhero drama, Marvel’s Iron Fist stars Finn Jones, Jessica Henrick, Simone Missick, Sacha Dhawan, Jessica Stroup, and Alice Eve. The series centers on Danny Rand (Jones) aka the Iron Fist, one of the Defenders. After being orphaned in a plane crash and raised to be an expert fight, Rand returned to New York to reclaim his legacy and family business. In season two, Danny must now leave behind the daily business of Rand Enterprises, in order...

The Performance | As Issa settled into her new apartment and her new side gig as the complex’s manager — squirrels and all — Molly declared her Bff a “brand-new bitch.” But we hope that she’s never completely transformed, because we love the way Rae plays her namesake alter ego as is — with a knack for making punchlines of throwaway lines and a heart that beats too loudly for her to always listen to her head. Finn Jones in Iron Fist (2017)
‘Iron Fist’ Season 2 Review: Marvel TV’s Least Favorite Superhero Shines Brighter Thanks to His Friends
Finn Jones in Iron Fist (2017)
Here’s the truth: It would have been really nice if at some point during Season 2 of “Marvel’s Iron Fist,” Danny Rand had fought a literal dragon. Yes, that’s ridiculous to imagine on a show set not in Westeros, but modern-day Manhattan, but hey, Danny talks about having fought a dragon to attain his powers. Why not show it?

That’s perhaps the most interesting question a critic might consider when faced with this season of television, largely because “Iron Fist” once again feels like it has opportunities it won’t take full advantage of, despite its privilege.

And the concept of privilege is invoked here in the most literal way: Danny Rand (played by Finn Jones), on screen, is a badass fighter, yet he’s been a punching bag since the first season premiered. There was very good reason for this: Not only was “Iron Fist” badly executed,...

‘Iron Fist': All References to Other Marvel Netflix Shows Through Season 2
Finn Jones in Iron Fist (2017)
“Iron Fist” Season 2 is here, arriving in what is now a fully formed shared TV universe with Marvel’s other Netflix shows. So let’s take a look at all the ways “Iron Fist” calls back to “Daredevil,” “Luke Cage,” “Jessica Jones” and “The Defenders.” Some spoilers here, obviously.

Season 2 calls back to the literally earth-shattering events of “The Defenders” a few times. Most notably to the biggest development in the Marvel Netflix TVverse so far: the apparent death of Daredevil when the Midland Circle building collapsed on him and Elektra.

Misty Knight (Simone Missick), one of the main characters from “Luke Cage,” also joined the main cast of “Iron Fist in season 2 — paying back appearances by Danny Rand (Finn Jones) and Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) in season 2 of “Luke Cage.”

Misty also refers back to the battle at Midland Circle in “Defenders,” which was where she lost her arm.

Iron Fist Review: Season 2 Packs More Punch, But the Pace Is Still Dragon
Your enjoyment of Marvel’s Iron Fist Season 2 will largely depend on what you saw and latched onto as the freshman run’s strong points.

If you are transfixed by Ward Meachum’s manpain, Season 2 will speak to you. And if Season 1 left you clamoring for more, more, more! of Davos, then get ready to buy a lottery ticket, because this Friday (when all 10 episodes release on Netflix) is your lucky day.

Lastly, if Marvel’s Luke Cage‘s own sophomore season got you irreversibly addicted to narratives pegged to New York gang wars and turf negotiations, well, prepare to get a huge,...

Marvel’s Iron Fist Season 2 Review
Six episodes were provided prior to broadcast.

Even if you didn’t catch the first season of Marvel’s Iron Fist when it debuted last year, there’s a good chance you caught wind of its negative reception, or at the very least, its casting decisions. Plenty of fans and critics (myself included) were upset at Marvel and Netflix’s choice to forgo picking an Asian or Asian-American actor to play the lead character. Casting controversies aside, Iron Fist season 1 had a myriad of other problems to contend with. Unfortunately, none of them have been fixed for its sophomore season.

Similar to the both Jessica Jones and Luke Cage, Iron Fist season 2 picks up after the events of The Defenders. While his crime-fighting allies have left the events of Midland Circle in their rear-view mirrors, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) has taken it upon himself to bring justice to the streets of Chinatown,...

The Daughters Of The Dragon Headline New Gallery Of Iron Fist Season 2 Stills
With Marvel and Netflix now ready to begin the one-week countdown until Iron Fist season 2, a bevy of HD action shots has emerged online by way of Cbm.

Featuring the likes of Typhoid Mary (Alice Eve), the Daughters of the Dragon and Danny Rand as the Immortal Iron Fist, this is arguably our best look yet at the upcoming installment, as it shines a light on the new enemies Danny must face if he’s to honor the promise he made to the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen during the dying moments of The Defenders – that is, to defend New York in a world without Daredevil.

Doing so will purportedly involve a clash with Sacha Dhawan’s Davos and Mika Prada, a mysterious new power player to be portrayed by Homeland alum Julee Cerda. They’ve seemingly got into bed with Joy Meachum (Jessica Stroup), a figure from Danny’s...

Iron Fist Season 2 Pics Shine The Spotlight On Typhoid Mary
On the face of it, it appears Iron Fist season 2 is very much about Danny Rand encountering old friends and new foes.

Take this update from Netflix’s Instagram account as an example. Whereas before we’ve seen blistering TV spots and hyper-stylized promos for the show’s second season, today’s status report brings us closer to Alice Eve’s Typhoid Mary before raising a very pertinent point: “You never really know someone until you see both sides.”

It couldn’t be more apt for a TV franchise that deals with alter-egos on a regular basis – think Daredevil/Matt Murdock and The Punisher/Frank Castle – and with the Man Without Fear ostensibly out of the picture, it’s up to Finn Jones’ superpowered hero to protect the streets of Hell’s Kitchen (and Harlem!) from harm. He made that solemn vow during the finale of The Defenders miniseries, after all,...

‘Marvel’s Iron Fist’ Season 2 Trailer: Glowing Hands Get Bloody as Danny Finds New Enemies
Charlie Cox in Daredevil (2015)
And so we’ve come to Danny. While we wait for the last of the central quartet to get their post-“Defenders” standalone season (“Daredevil” Season 3 should be on its way later this year), Mr. Rand is about to get his time in the Marvel spotlight with the sophomore season of “Iron Fist.”

Netflix released the trailer for “Iron Fist” Season 2 Thursday, which finds Danny (Finn Jones) facing his biggest challenge yet. No, not planning a date night with Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick), but overcoming the wrath of Davos (Sacha Dhawan). Judging by the amount of hand-to-hand combat teased here, Davos isn’t the only one after the power in Danny’s extremities.

One thing this preview is still keeping under wraps is Season 2’s biggest addition. Expect more of incoming cast member Alice Eve’s mysterious new character when the full season drops early next month. Aside from Colleen...

Iron Fist Star Finn Jones Says The Actors Performed Most of The Fight Sequences in Season 2
One of the biggest weaknesses regarding the way Marvel is handling Iron Fist is the fight sequences. Iron Fist is supposed to be a badass martial artist, so the fight sequences should have been a highlight of the show! But I have yet to see a fight scene involving the character that wows me. Everything I've seen up to this point has been pretty mediocre and it shouldn't be mediocre!

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, actor Finn Jones talked about the fight sequences in Iron First Season 2 and says that the majority of the fights were performed with minimal use of stunt doubles. So the actors did most of the fight work:

"The majority of fights this season, if not all of them, are performed by all of the actors in the show this season and the doubles were used pretty minimally. It was awesome, I had such a great...

Finn Jones in Iron Fist (2017)
‘Iron Fist’ Season 2 Teaser: Marvel’s Most Controversial Series Returns, Whether You Like It or Not — Watch
Finn Jones in Iron Fist (2017)
“Iron Fist” didn’t exactly endear itself to critics, but such is the mystical superhero’s immortal power that the show will return for a second season. The Marvel series’ first go-round wasn’t especially well received — IndieWire’s Liz Shannon Miller wrote that it “feels incredibly inessential, even boring at times” in her review — but the character’s self-seriousness was toned down somewhat during his appearances in “The Defenders” and season two of “Luke Cage.” Watch the trailer for his next solo outing below.

Per a detailed synopsis, season two will follow its hero “as he fights against the criminal element corrupting New York City with his kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist.” It’s our understanding that he might even wear a yellow-and-green suit this time.

Finn Jones stars as the hero of the title, with the supporting cast including Jessica Henwick,...
